Fruitland Park Plaza — Attraction in Fruitland Park

Do not!! I repeat do not go to dollar General in this plaza. I can not believe what just happen to me. I went to the store with my 2 children, and there was a old gentlemen that worked there, that kept following me around the whole store, it was so uncomfortable. I spent maybe 45 minutes in there or maybe an hour. Note ive only been to this store maybe 2 times. Anyways I check out, the lady at the registrar was actually really nice, im assuming she was a shift manager. I go out side to wait on my husband to come back and get us. And the gentlemen approached me and said " you better have paid for those cosmetics that you had cause im going back on my camera's to check and if you didnt I will banned you" i told him he could search my whole stroller and my purse, I had over 100 in cash on me. And everything that I had I paid for. I just spent 20.00 in there. There were people out side starring a this man and shaking his head. I ask him if it was because i was young and had tattoos and he just walked away saying " you heard me"... I honestly have never been so embarrassed in my life!! A couple ladies seen it and said that they were going to call corporate also. Doesn't stop here though ... So I call up there and he answered the phone, I asked for his name and he said Allan and I asked if he was the one who just approached me about stealing and he said " Maybe" like it was a game to him. I told him how unprofessional he had handled the whole situation and how embarrassing that was to me. He wouldn't talk or anything so I asked for the corporate phone number and he hung up on me.. Are you serious?! So my husband had to call back up there and ask to get the number and he gave us a wrong number and come to find out he's the store manager!!!! I my self am going to call the news and let them know about this gentlemen and his unlawful ways and complete judgemental ways. I think it would be best if a corporate or a higher up gives me a call ot email to discuss this...

The only good place in this plaza is Ollie's, good stuff Cheap. They have a great book section where the prices are very inexpensive. I found the animal products to be over priced though. But they have a wide variety of other things like toys home decorations, certain foods and snacks, dog beds, and like a more books even for the kids. Great selection for the kids actually. Great place to go to in order to shop for the holidays. Not expensive stuff but you can't find a few wonderful qualities things that are either useful or will collect dust. LOL if you have never been here before you definitely need to come but expect to spend a couple hours going down each aisle. Have to look really good because the shelves are packed with all kinds of stuff. Ollie's, good...

This is a small strip mall located just off the main highway and across from banks and gas station. The mall itself includes a dollar store, breakfast/lunch diner, Chinese take-out with small number of sit-down tables, an appliance store, dentist office, gambling shop, and floor covering store. There is plenty of parking here, never overcrowded and parking lot is well lit at night. Easy accessible from the highway or side street. Used to include a medium sized grocery store that was very convenient but that's gone now. The Dollar General store does stock basic groceries such as milk, bread, eggs, etc at fair prices and the Chinese place has above average take out if you are in a...
