My husband and I thrift all over Fayetteville, Fuquay-Varina, Raleigh, Durham, everywhere. We have concluded that this specific Guardian Angel Thrift Store is by far the best. Inventory is phenomenal, constantly changing and it’s all mind boggling. You’ll find Dockers, Lands End, Levi’s, and so many more brands for cheaper than Walmart prices. They also are the only store that we’ve seen to run their clothes through a sanitation process before putting them on the floor, which gives us peace of mind trying them on before coming home. The ladies section is of course the largest section but the men’s is quite expensive as well, my husband and I are usually able to walk out with at minimum 2-4 pieces, most of the time way more though. Check the tags, some articles are priced individually but they’re never outrageous. Everything is SO fairly priced here, there is nothing like this store in the area. We actually have a hard time going to other shops because of how competitive their pricing is. Not to mention they have a buy 6 get 2 free clothing bargain which we always take advantage of. Their furniture, houseware, and book selection is vast as well. Be sure to stop out the electronic store down the strip for cds and tools, there’s always something cool there also. The staff is warm and welcoming, also always willing to help. The manager is great as well. They offer a military, first responder, nurse, teacher, etc, discount too and always ask. There aren’t enough great things to say about this location! So thankful to have a quality thrift...
Read moreVery very expensive thrift shop. It was a bummer. I have seen antique booths much cheaper and more fairly priced. I managed to find a couple not so common vintage collectibles and higher end items though that most definitely slipped through the pricing cracks...so it’s worth a peek if you’re in the area and have a good eye for things. The Christmas selection was a plus. I found some nice fairly priced pieces. I’m not sure why the pricing seemed kinda all over the place when I went. One thing is for certain though, if it’s remotely vintage such as vintage glass or kitchenware...it’ll be priced according to what people are asking on Ebay. This is frustrating because it seems the thrift store workers are not clicking that little sold button which usually tells a different story. This store is very nicely organized and arranged which was a big plus. In addition to the high prices, unfortunately I had to leave off 3 stars because the cashier was so rude when I checked out. I also did not appreciate my things being handled so rough. I also wanted to look at a couple things behind the glass I was seriously considering purchasing and customer service was poor. Word of advice to other customers: watch your treasures in your carts closely. Cover them up if you can or hold the more special treasures you want to take home in your hands. People were...
Read moreI hadn't been here in awhile since a bad experience with rude staff, and the fact that they don't have restrooms anymore, which makes it hard for some of us. First, the prices are through the roof! 3.00-10.00 for USED stuffed animals, 3.00 for ONE used towel and I didn't realize price was written ON the towel with sharpie until we got home. SOOOOO many of the nicer clothes were priced at near retail. We put back so many things after looking at the prices. We put back many more due to the sharpie on them. They has some 2-3.00 Easter stuffed animals I bought for my grandkids. NO, the sharpie DOES NOT come off the tags. It's like you want to penalize people who can't afford new items by marking them up in PERMANENT marker. The same next door in the baby shop. Baby blankets had sharpie on the seam tags and one lovey had it right ON the front of the blanket. One lovey (target brand) was 8.00! You vandalize your goods. Oh, and I bought a bag of toys for 9.00 and all the little guys had exploded batteries, transformers arms are broken off, lego guy is CHEWED up and horse has 3 legs. For 9.00 I expect intact toys! I'm glad I didn't have cash for the other toys and had to put them back. Package says "suggested donation" but no, that is the price, and cash only! 9.00 for DAMAGED toys! We will...
