I recommend not using the delivery option in the MEIJER APP. I had to make an order for formula around 8-9PM, I was unaware Meijer outsources their delivery orders thru Shipt. My order was dropped off to my door BUT it was the wrong item! I did not allow for any substitutions, the Shipt driver never reached out to me to ask if what they chose was okay, because it wasnāt.
I had to frantically call the store to double check if they had the formula I needed in stock and if they did Iād just place another order because my child was sleeping, I couldnāt just go up there. They told me they did not. (Went up there in the morning, they did have it) so at that point Iām guessing the Meijer employee didnāt actually check. At that point I had ordered some through UBER EATS from a different Meijer location. Thankfully Uber was able to do their job correctly and deliver what I needed.
I went to this Meijer in the morning to return the incorrect formula that was delivered to me, they tell me they canāt take the return and that Iād have to go through Shipt even though I didnāt choose to use Shipt, Meijer did. So I had to leave and call Shipt for my refund, I call Shipt and they tell me I have to return back to the Meijer store. So at this point Iām now getting a run around for a simple return!
I called Meijer Customer Care and thatās finally where I got my return resolved, they put me on hold and spoke directly with the Caledonia Meijerās ASM Ashley, she told me sheās got it taken care of and to ask to speak to Ashley when I return to the store. I got my return taken care of and my $70 back. But the fact I had to jump through hoops and a whole run around is ridiculous.
But thank you to the team members who helped me get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreInstead of treating regular customers with respect, they treat everyone like they're criminal. I have never stolen a thing in my life. I was already fed up with the fact that I get flagged itself check out all time, and the lines for cashiers are out of control.
Today was a new level of frustration. As I was leaving my cart suddenly stopped and I ran into the back of it. The alarm went off, and the attendant came over and didn't tell me what was happening and ask for my receipt. She left me there looking around the front of my cart wondering what I had run into, and then when I couldn't back my car up and had to lift it and drag it out of the way of the other customers trying to exit by myself, it occurred to me that my wheel had locked as a theft deterrent. Then she returned with my receipt didn't explain to me what the hell happened, offered no apology or help, and then told me to push my car out of the way. I didn't understand so I asked her Am I supposed to just go now, and she told me to just go but my wheel is still locked, she was pointing her device at my cart, and telling me to push while my wheel is still locked. After pushing a few inches it finally unlocked and I was able to be on my way but it was humiliating and frustrating to not be told what's going on and have to pick up my car and drag it out of the way. It's despicable that they treat their customers this way. I get a theft deterrent but this is out of control. And the way it was handled with no explanation offer of help or apology is just unacceptable. Also, someone could get hurt stopping their full...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYour shop and go cashier attendants have the brain capacity of a walnut. My two items in "Shop and Go" were apparently too encumbering to use that line and was transitioned to normal checkout. While I stood in line for S&G, it was held up by individuals that had no clue what they were doing and was checking out slower than the worst cashier at Aldi. I sat there long enough I could have walked a lap around the store yet I'm pushed out because of my two items? I finished in regular checkout before the S&G line even budged.
I just simply wanted to utilize the new member bonus points with S&G and instead of using the moment to explain and teach the S&G, the employee shuffled me away without explanation for someone with a overfilled cart. I work for Aldi where customers come first and we take the time to help educate customers. I work our curbside program and find it pathetic you call that fast checkout fast yet remove those that actual have fast items. It doesn't matter if they weren't prescanned in the app, I'd have ran circles around these individuals. Now I'm out my bonus points along with distrust to try the new system. I understand now why customers are scared to try out new self checkout systems when other companies fail to educate and...
