Artisans' Guild Gallery — Attraction in Gainesville

Just went there and it was absolutely stunning. The guild is staffed by local artists and an artists featured will be the one to assist you as well. There's a bit of something for everyone from small postcard sized prints to full oil, water, encaustic, or fabric paintings. Jewelry, clothing, leatherware, linocuts, and more are also featured.

We were assisted by the lovely Bettianne Ford and I purchased some of her glassware. I've posted pictures of some of the art they have. New things are always coming and they even bring in new artists every 2nd Sunday of the month.

The gallery is open regularly and they represent a large number of local, accomplished artists. The facility is, in fact, an old Sears House, a historic example of how prefab was first concieved. History buffs will love it, too. They are part of Gainesville's monthly ArtWalk event that takes place on the last Friday of each month - the Guild features one of their member artists each month for the event. Because they are staffed by member artists, you'll always have wonderful conversations with he art/staff when you visit....
