Giant Food — Attraction in Gaithersburg

As an employee for another Giant. I Showed up to purchase food here. Requested some help at the produce section(but I was informed that they didn’t have anyone to help me since the person didn’t show up to their shift(unprofessional? Yes, as a customer I don’t need to be aware of the issues rather than to look for help to assist me)) after seeking for help at solution center, the front end manager informed me that she couldn’t help me in that department since that is a department she doesn’t feel comfortable (I thought your staff was crossed trained?)At the end, I had to turned around and walked to another store(it’s sad that they rather let business walk away than improved on their customer service) Giant needs to provide customer service to their employee to improve on...

I shop here quite frequently and although the prices are high, when they have sales the prices are quite reasonable. Yesterday I bought this chicken salad because I’ve bought their potato salad and it was very good. I cannot say the same about this chicken salad. I definitely give a place the benefit of the doubt but not this time. I am a white person and even I know this chicken salad is messed up. It tastes like chunks, yes chunks of chicken with mayonnaise slathered on top. Nothing about this is “chicken salad”. Maybe rebrand it as “chicken chunks”. Not only is it bland chunks of chicken but I paid over $7 for this. This is not quality and not worth $7. I needed help at customer service. One associate was working on a Western Union which is time consuming. The manager type spent 10 minutes looking for batteries for the label maker. There were 2 of us waiting. The person in front of me wanted to return potatoes that were not purchased at Giant. Instead of letting the cashier take care of me, she sent her to another station. When I said something, the manager type said “I’m going to help you”. She then left to look at potatoes without saying a word to me. I also left since she was definitely NOT helping me.
