Sad that I have to leave this review, but I feel as if it needs to be said. We attended the Galesburg railroad museum during Railroad Days 2024. It wasn't all that busy at the railroad museum so we opted to take the guided tour of the Rolling stock on the grounds. (which is the only option as they keep it all under lock and key) The tour guide we had was awful. As an avid railfan and railroad enthusiast, the amount of just plain wrong facts that were stated by the guide was shocking. It was almost as if they found someone who had no interest or connection to the railroad to do this tour. When guests would ask questions we would get "I don't know" as the response. The interior of the museum had a odd no photography policy. I am guessing to make up for the lack of interesting artifacts and to keep the most interesting ones from being posted online.
Overall I would avoid this museum if you are a railroad enthusiast. Take time to visit some of the other historical spots...

He told us the history of the railroad train system with so much passion and nostalgia, adding his personal experiences of his childhood as grandson and son of the railroad company employees. I do recommend a visit to the Railroad Train Museum...

Had a railroad museum shirt on and was in and out of the museum so I can confirm that that man was associated with your...
