Cedar Creek Hall - Event Venue and Reception Hall — Attraction in Galesburg

I would love to give this hall a good review but I just can’t. They are rude and inconsiderate during a crisis. Definitely all about the money. I booked last year and explained my worries about the pandemic and the state closing down and Nicole assured me that they are being very lax about Covid and that I have nothing to worry about. Fast forward to March 2021, I go in for a tux fitting with my dad and am informed that Cedar Creek is only allowing 50 people, no dancing and face masks the whole time. I do get this is advised by our government, but I was under the impression that my venue was being lax. I got ahold of Nicole and she confirmed the truth. I found another venue and canceled. I assumed Cedar Creek would keep the $700 deposit, but no, they kept $1600 because our contract said I have to cancel 90 days ahead of time. I explained that I didn’t find out about her changes until after the 90 days. She said it wasn’t her job to inform me of government rules. Let’s forget the fact that she personally told me they were being lax. No morals with this company. And thanks to that I lost that $1600 and the $100 for the first set of invites I printed....

I cannot express enough how fantastic it was to have our reception here. The owners went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The hall was beautiful, newly remodeled, and spotless. If there were more stars to click on I certainly would. To top it all off, the owners were so genuine, nice, and sincere, I will recommend this establishment above all others every single time. This astubamontit is Cedar Creek and Smokin Willie's in one building in Galesburg Illinois is a great place to dine in a have a good drink...It was our first time being here and it was very nice...Proud our friends invited us because the food, service and the people running this are so sweet...This is an excellent place to eat and enjoy the bar...Amazing...
