Really disappointed with my experience with sprinkle and spoon.. I had been craving apple pie for a few weeks. I stopped in a week ago because I seen they had apple pie on their menu I was then informed they needed a couple hours advance notice. Understandable so I apologized and left. Fast forward a week later I was craving apple pie again I wanted to give this place a shot and try something new and also give myself a treat for Fathers Day. I ordered an apple pie online at 3pm keeping in mind what I was told prior, on the online ordering it said It would be ready by 4:40 showed up at 7pm to get it giving them a couple extra hours just in case. This time I was informed they needed 24 hour advance notice on baked goods … so I left having already paid for it. Fast forward again I messaged the owner and let them know what was going on and asked them if there was any way possible it could be made the next day. Owner said no they typically need a WEEK to work making a pie in! A week?! Couldn’t have it ready by the next day.. so I informed them I understood trying to be polite I asked when they would be able to make it for me trying to be understanding.. instead of telling me a day they refunded my order… keep in mind I didn’t ask for a refund was trying to be understanding and still get the pie eventually.. not once was I rude but I guess instead of making the pie they’d rather just refund. Unfortunate first experience for me and unfortunately for them first experiences mean alot .. I would have loved to still tried the pie but don’t know judging off my first experience if I would attempt to order again
Updated photos in the review cannot reply to the owner but notice I did NOT lie as she is saying I never asked...
Read moreYou will want to read this! I consider myself an ice cream enthusiast and my dream job would be traveling the country to find the best ice cream! I grew up in the quad city area and was basically born with whiteys in my bottle so I have always been biased on what good ice cream is. I have been many places and I always make it a point to find the best ice cream everywhere we go, my kids really enjoy that I do this! Last month was the first time we tried Ice Cream from Sprinkle and Spoon and I am being 100% truthful when I say that I prefer this over Whiteys and it is the best I have ever had. If you didn’t tell me that it was dairy free I never would have known. It is extremely creamy and just awesome! I have had the mint chocolate and tonight I tried the Cookies n dreams. I just love it. Will be back, again and...
Read moreThe ice cream is way overpriced the shop itself is unfinished the outside seating is limited even though there is tons of space for more tables. Now the ice cream itself is vegan so that's good but the flavor is just not right it all tastes the same real heavy on the stuff they use to make it creamy and it just doesn't do it for me nothing against vegan food or vegetarian stuff love it but when it comes to ice cream there's nothing that compares to a scoop of stracciatella made by an Italian. Homemade doesn't automatically mean better why would I drive to eureka when I can get better ice cream at la michoacanita on main st in Galesburg not some slop thrown together by someone who does not know what they are doing the ice cream melts immediately at your place and they serve it in a container ment...
