King's Pawn — Attraction in Garden City

Unlike a lot of people on here I didn't need money I just had some stuff I didn't want anymore. Let me tell you, from walking in the door this place was bad news. I won't even get into the smell of the place but I should have walked out right there. Now, on to my story. Like I said I have recently moved to the area and in the MO e we bought some new items. I was unpacking and thought I would just go into the shop and sell some things just so I didn't have to take the time to post them online. I didn't expect to get the price I would selling them elsewhere but boy was I surprised when the told me what they would pay. I won't go into details but I will say I immediately walked out and went to their competitors where I was treated much better and got about 20% more per item out the gate. Seller beware at this place for sure. And, I have to concur with some of the others on here that talk about rude staff. Even beyond the lowball prices the services was terrible. They acted as though it was a bother for me to even be there. They need some serious customer service training as right now they definitely don't know how to...

Boyfriend and I went in too look at guns. Not a huge selection which is not the problem. The problem started when we asked if they had more and she kindly said no and that they weren’t allowed to sell handguns though. When we asked why they thought it’d be wise too lie too us and tell us the reason why they didn’t is it was city thing and the city doesn’t allow pawn shops too sell handguns. We had been too two other pawns before this one right down the street and all sell handguns. All. I don’t know why they thought it’d be wise too lie and say that they don’t know why but the city just wont let them though for “some reason”. The reason probably being they lost the license too be allowed too do so. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. It’s just why lie. Purchased tv from this shop. 17 days after purchase and finally had entertainment room set up and tv mounted to the wall had the problem of the tv going completely black after 30 minutes of viewing. Called the shop. Was told to call back and speak to the manager. Called back was greeted with "Why did someone tell you to speak with the manager? What is their name?" was told they could only do exchanges for store credit. I was told that was fine. Was then told only for 14 days.
