As far as the roadway goes, I will never come back here again until I know that it will be a safe safe place for me to stay again and explain what happened. I am currently homeless. I actually had a little bit of extra cash to be able to get a room on Thursday of last week, which would’ve been June 14 I believe up until about Saturday morning. This was every penny I had. I was tired of living sleeping in my car no shower for a week and I haven’t haven’t been able to sleep comfortably so I took it upon myself to get a nice room and be able to sleep and get a shower. This is the same. I didn’t have any problems up until Friday afternoon as to where I had to leave because I had a visit that I needed to attend from 4:30 in the afternoon I was gone. I had left the room about 4 o’clock up until about 8:30 9 o’clock that night and it’s this Friday night June 15 and I get a message from somebody stating that she went into the front office. I’m not gonna go into details as to why what happened. She went to the front office and asked for a room key. There was a room key given out to, a woman that it was not authorized on my account to get a key was not authorized to come into my room whatsoever. And as soon as I got back to the hotel, and I confronted the woman downstairs at the front office about the situation, I went in there. I guess I was very frustrated, but I didn’t threaten the woman. I was not rude to her in anyway I did ask her Who was the person that was working that gave a room key out to somebody that was not authorized on my account because there is situations that this person should’ve never been OK to be or never given a key in the first place ever to be able to enter my room with or without me being there and provided my consent! Anyway, let’s just say that the woman like I said the front office woman working got very snappy with me. She did get an attitude. She definitely got very defensive and then she went ahead and proceeded as to telling me as soon as I was walking out the door from the front office, not to go ahead and book again because I was on the do not read list from now on moving forward. She allowed me to stay one more night however I ended up leaving. I come back the next day my belongings are gone. I had an emergency that I had to leave Friday night. I ended up leaving my belongings in the room because I didn’t have time to grab them to go attend something that I needed to attend ended up not being able to come back until the next day, which would be Saturday had to check out all my belongings are gone. Everything I own is gone. I don’t have clothes. I don’t have hygiene I live in my car. I got 86 out of a hotel. I don’t have no money. I haven’t showered in four or five days like this hotel caused a problem by letting by giving a key to an unauthorized person so if I was anybody here don’t don’t at the roadway because you don’t know what’s gonna happen is not a good place to stay. It’s a very long review and I don’t care everybody needs to know The workers that work at the roadway and...
Read moreWhen I first booked my room (not saying which) I was greeted by a woman named Joanna, she was so nice, pleasant to speak to and even held a (with breaks due to other customers, which is what I expected), 30 minute conversation about the surrounding area.. she was so informed about Greeley and Evans and the events taking place.. and such a sweet woman and excellent at her job.
After this I headed to my room which was a non-smoking room, and I smoke (Of course Out-side). The room was in excellent condition, minus some abrasions on the wood of the furniture but that is to be expected at a budget motel. The cable was nice and the Internet (Wi-Fi) was VERY fast! I was able to work and stream music at the same time. And later that night stream movies on Hulu at High-Def.
The room smelled great for a non-smoking room.. and I have been in many, many motels (OTR truck-driver) over the years and I have been in all non-smoking rooms anytime I stay at a hotel/motel.. and this one actually had no cigarette or alcohol smell! Which was great!
The pool was nice and heated.. a great accommodation, it had plenty of space to lay out, get a tan, rest or just swim.
Maintenance was fast at fixing my broken toilet (The chain broke from it, I don't know how) and also took care of programming my television for me.. which I screwed that up myself by hitting the button..lol
There were many, many families at this place! And for a good reason! The staff walking around (very often, and not just the maids either) were incredibly courteous and happy to chit-chat for a little while (Which I enjoy a nice conversation), always asking if you need anything (and if at that time you did not) they would ask you to just call the front desk and they would be sent right up! Which they were very fast at coming ad accommodating whatever I needed, within reason.
I think the parking-lot needs some work, but they are a pretty busy motel to get what they need done, in my opinion.
The room that I was placed in was quite nice, and, it was quite! Also the A/C was awesome. I had a nice sleep out of the heat.
This motel is super close to everything someone needs.. for example: King Supers, Burger King, Mc-Donalds, Walmart, Gas-stations, Shopping Centers.. within 1 mile!
I truly enjoyed the conversation with a guy named Justin, who at the time was Power-Spraying a section of the motel's walk-way downstairs which is a GREAT thing to see! During the day this motel has staff taking care of literally everything that needs to get done, this was a pure prime example of this.
Another great conversationalist I met, Sean, also helped me on some information about my car and it's exactly what a licensed mechanic had told me before.. I just wanted a second opinion, and of course a cheaper way to get it done,...
Read moreThis is the worst hotel, motel, Inn, I have ever stayed at. 29-31Jul2022. When I first got there I wanted to cancel my reservation, but then I’d have to sleep in my truck. First impression: The outside grounds are littered with cigarette butts and trash. ||Second: The majority of residents seemed to be PERMANENT, it was like an SRO apartment building run by a slum landlord. Many appeared to be unemployed, and some drug addicts. One room actually had one of those screens you Velcro to the door frame to keep bugs out so you can keep the door open. Who does that on a temporary stay? I observed several portable grills outside some rooms, one had a one gallon gas can next to it. Does anyone think fire hazard? Ok, ok, ok…. Ok, all the rooms had outside doors, that is to say there were no indoor corridors.||The room itself was stripped of all essentials, no coffee maker, no phone, no clock, the sink didn’t even have a stopper. Don’t drop anything in the sink. The only amenity was an ice bucket and two plastic wrapped plastic cups, Period. ||The door looked like it had been forced open previously and the lock minimally repaired. Fortunately I did not have a physical confrontation.||I did not feel safe at this hotel, I did feel my truck was safe.||The rooms rug was filthy, and the room itself was only as clean as the staff could get it with what they had to work with. Can’t blame them, it’s a management failure.||Included breakfast consisted of the typical waffle maker, Coco puffs, and coffee from a pot that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, that’s it.||The worst thing that happened to me: after checking out (I was there two nights) was when I got to the nice restaurant I found for breakfast, I could not open my drivers door from the inside. I had to roll down my window and open it using the exterior handle. This is typical of the damage done to the locking mechanism when someone tries to jimmy the lock open with a slim jim. Apparently they did not get in.||This is my second negative experience at a Rodeway Inn, but this is the worst of any hotel I have ever stayed at. The only reason I rated it a one is because there is no option to rate a zero or minus one. ||The other Rodeway Inn was in Grand Island, NE. ||I’m done with this chain, forever. If I have no other choice, I’ll sleep...
