I don't know much about massages but this was my experience in this place. I called today at 10:53 am to make an appointment and they asked if I could come in then and yes (happy the sooner the better). I arrived at 11:08 am, there was only one person waiting and the empty room was passed on to the first person and a couple of minutes later to me I didn't mind. The lady asks me where I want the massage and I told her the whole body (she was very contracted, she came from working 5 days at 12 hours a day). The lady starts with the massage BUT she focused mostly on the right side of my body 🤨 she asked me if the pressure was good and I said yes a little harder but it didn't feel strong in my body BUT it did feel strong in my head so much so that the headrest coverage was short and my face rub against the headrest. She rubbed my head so much that my face turned red with marks and the pores opened. 🤔I couldn't relax listening to the sounds from the next bed. The sounds of the flip flops of the lady who gave me my massage and the rub on my face . I pay $39...
Read moreHands down one of the best massages I've ever experienced! Hide is a true master of his craft. He listened to what my problem areas were prior to beginning the massage and confirmed if the pressure applied was enough, not enough, or too much. His technique was absolutely on point. Hide eased into the deep pressure and knew exactly when to relieve it gradually. I could feel the tension melting away as he worked on each spot. The only disappointment was not having more time. I booked a 60 minute session with Hide to try the place out for the first time. Next time, I will make sure to get a 90 minute session with him! The prices are more than reasonable for the quality received. In addition, even though the setup is an open concept, the place is very quiet and relaxing. Everyone, from the patrons to the employees, was courteous to communicate quietly. Also, the facility was very clean. I highly recommend Hide's Shiatsu and of course, Hide, the Shiatsu master himself. I can't wait for my next session prior to heading back...
Read moreThis place does good work, especially Taki and Shuji. They work hard long hours. However, the secretaries and owner are extremely rigid with timing. You walk in at your appointment time and you are considered late. Their clock is fast and they harass customers over the phone before their actual appointment time. They are quick to remove time from your massage as well. This is LA and its busy and people need to be given a little grace. Stop overbooking yourselves and you wouldn't have a problem. There was a man clearly ill and in the bathroom. His wife was harassed by the secretary over and over again about starting the massage or canceling. How rude is that? I was scolded by Hide for walking in at my appointment time but then asked for a favor to pay early, which they do all the time when you book past 9pm. How do I know what tip I want to give before my massage? I have heard customers complain.. The rigidity here may cause them to loose business. Prime customer treatment should come above...
