Gallery Events Studio — Attraction in Garfield

I have mixed reviews about this event hall. We booked this hall for a 1st birthday party.

GOOD: It is a beautiful hall and is the perfect size for a smaller event. Communicating with the event coordinator, Shavon, was not too much of an issue, when a call was missed she was good at calling back and answered any questions.

BAD: The time we booked the hall was from 12 to 4 and we were advised we could come by 11:30am to begin setting up. We got to the hall and the staff that was to open and have the hall available for us was not there, lights off, door locked. After reaching out to Shavon, she reaches out to find out what the delay is and she informs me that the staff had car trouble but was close. But when the man that opened the hall arrived he stated he was in traffic. We ended up not getting into the hall until 30 almost 40min later which by then guests had arrived as well as food and entertainment. We paid $100 for table clothes that caused more delay because they were not set up on the tables. Our guests were helping to set up instead of being able to mingle and enjoy their time which was embarrassing as a host. We had family that came from out of town for this event, a DJ and photographer that was booked and food that needed to be heated; all of which were altered due to the delay in access to the hall we rented. Instead of having ample time to use chafing fuel to warm food for our guest we had to use one small microwave that was in the hall to heat each guest's food which again caused a delay.

Nothing was done to accommodate their screw up except longer time in the hall which is great, yes, except guests that travelled needed to be back on the road, entertainment that was booked needed to leave and we had another event...

We recently hired Gallery Events Studio & S&M Experience Catering for a 60th birthday party, and they absolutely exceeded every expectation! From start to finish, their professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail were unmatched.

The food was phenomenal—beautifully presented, delicious, and tailored perfectly to our preferences. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the variety and flavors. It was clear that every dish was prepared with passion and care.

The staff was equally impressive. They were attentive, friendly, and ensured the evening ran seamlessly, which allowed us to focus on celebrating rather than worrying about logistics.

I recently hosted a surprise birthday party for my wife here and must I say Antoinette and her team completely beat my expectations. The theme for our party was Modern Gatsby/Speakeasy. Antoinette has a wonderful team and she works closely with the decorators and caterer to ensure that everything is set up and running smoothly! Even the day of the party as we are bringing in drinks and last minute decorations Antoinette is there helping out and giving suggestions for any last minute changes we may have.
