We recently had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. It's awful to see how the waiters collaborate to get more money from the diners. My mom and I came after she had a surgical procedure. We wanted a simple, relaxing lunch. The waitress approached us and asked for drinks, and it took 10 minutes to bring them. Which is fine. It's understandable that maybe they're busy, but it was 4 p.m. After this, we ordered two soups, one large and one small. The large one came with rice and plantain, and the small one had nothing. The guy who took our order didn't ask us anything, just said, "Okay." When the food arrived, they brought the same side I ordered for my mom, which we didn't order. But we just wanted a quick, relaxing lunch, so we let it slide. We asked for the check and it was $53 for two soups with rice and plantain. It turns out they were charging us each side as a side, meaning almost $20 for just sides? What a horrible experience! When we asked, the waitress brought another girl to explain to us that we were the ones who ordered a side dish, when we never said that. Lunches only come with rice and salad, laughing as if we were fortune tellers. They never explained or asked us anything. And yet, they charged us separately for the rice. What horrible noches de colombia! Their employees just want to get more money out of the gratuities. Why charge separately for rice when the soups already came with it? We would have preferred to spend that money on something worthwhile,...

We had an amazing experience at Noches de Colombia in Clifton, NJ! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our server Andres truly made our night special. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious every dish we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully presented.

Andres also took the time to recommend coming back for the second-floor lounge experience, which sounds perfect for a date night. This time we came with the kids, but next time it’ll be just the two of us and we’re definitely requesting Andres again. He’s a phenomenal server and really elevated our dining experience. Highly recommend this spot, and if you get the chance, ask for Andres you won’t be disappointed!
