Choco Hut — Restaurant in Passaic

I have been looking for a go-to crepe place ever since I moved to New Jersey. Being from Cali, my expectations were definitely high. When you walk into the store, the first thing you will notice is the incredibly sweet and welcoming staff. They were very patient with me as I made my selection. I decided to go for the Lotus crepe with a scoop of ice-cream and it DID NOT disappoint! The Lotus spread, with the warmth of the crepe, the sweetness of the bananas, and the smoothness of the vanilla ice cream was just the perfect combination!

I read about the cardamom latte in one of the reviews and the concept piqued my interest. I love lattes and I love cardamom, so I decided to give it a try. I have been to places like Qahwah house and I have to say, they've got nothing on this latte! You know when you drink something so delicious, you can't help but smile? That was me the second I took my first sip. It was the right amount of sweetness and the cardamom flavor shone through, without being overwhelming. Aside from coming back to try the different crepes, I will definitely be back for that latte. Hands down, my favorite hot drink thus far!

While I waited for my crepe to be made, I was treated to a sample of the viral Dubai chocolate. Admittedly, I've never tried it before, and wasn't sure what to expect. However, I can't even begin to express how amazing it was! It was served at room temp, which allowed me to appreciate and savor the different flavors and textural components. I enjoyed it so much I HAD to purchase one to go!

The experience my daughter and I had here was amazing. We literally had something from here back to back and don’t regret it AT ALL. First we had the Dubai waffle and Dubai mini pancakes. It was amazing. Absolutely decadent and rich but also not too sweet which was so important. The crunch mixed with the pistachio butter, white chocolate drizzle, chocolate and kunafa is something everyone should try. We also got a Dubai chocolate bar. That one was a little much probably because of the size. But my daughter enjoyed it.

We ended up deciding to try another one the following night. We had the Oreo waffle and Oreo mini pancakes. I’ll just say be careful because you want to keep coming...

Let me tell you something: YOU NEED TO COME HERE. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed to be there, and to be honest that’s something I always look for when I go to a place. The place is so cute and modern. Not flashy at all, and it’s not boring. Just comfortable enough for you not to feel overwhelmed. The employees were so nice and went above and beyond to take care of me and my friends throughout the whole time of our visit. Their desserts? OMG! I tried the fruity pebble crepe and I was obsessed with it. I wanted to take another one home! Lol but it’s definitely a great place to bring your family or just to have something when you are craving...
