Those who come to church only once or twice a year for Easter and Christmas service shouldn't give any reviews at all. Our priest-father George is the most dedicated and compassionate pastor, very loyal to his family. A true orthodox Christian would never call Easter servise a show. Easter service comes after Great Lent and passion week, so for us, orthodox christians it is a real celebration and is very special time when we show our joy wholeheartedly, because the Christ was risen, because we can be saved now! So, possibly, for those who only come to the Easter service just to bless their baskets, people who came to share their joy and who pray and sing aloud, who renounce to the whole world that Christ was indeed risen from the dead by shouting out: The Christ is Risen! - Indeed He was Risen! - those people might seem crazy to those onlookers or it might seem like a show fo them, I don't know, but Lord knows that this joy is genuine and it's not a show. It is very sad, though. Please, stop being just onlookers who come once a year to bless the baskets. Please come and pray and you will receive a lot more blessings than just of your baskets. More than that - if you are an orthodox christian you shouldn't badmouth any orthodox church that you came to pray to. It could be different than your own orthodox church that you belong to, but it is still orthodox church just the same, it is the House of Lord. You came to pray and receive blessing, not criticize. Let's look at ourselves first - are we perfect in our ways, are we without a sin? Let's remember what our Lord Jesus Christ had said: You hypocrite! First, remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye. And the last one - i wonder how much richer the church has become from the amount of money that you put you in that basket - you, the one who criticizes the law, that Lord established himself - the law about tithing (10% donation of one's income to the House of God)? Go to orthodox church, be grateful it still exists and there is still Lithurgy that is served through our orthodox priests and...
Read moreIt was the first time for us to visit this church and by far is the last! We were extremely disappointed by seeing how disorganized everything was as well as how highly moneywise they are into! The whole mass was fine, but later on the priest started to talk in not appropriate manner as if he was not in a church, using inappropriate words and behavior. He seems to “love” women that much that simply skipped us standing with a baby for an Easter basket blessing and ran for a group of women flirting and talking to them about everything. Seriously? Is that how the priest should behave nowadays? After all the whole mass and after Easter basket blessing looked like a show where the priest was having a blast but lacking his mic. It is an absolutely by no mean a...
Read moreThe church is absolutely beautiful. This review is only for the experience we had at the christening of my godson. I’ve never felt more disrespected and shamed in my whole life. I’m not going to call any names but the priest who held the ceremony was obnoxious, rude and extremely disrespectful. I will never return to this church due to the terrible experience we all had during...
