I stopped at this place on a whim to scratch a sushi craving and received a real treat of a meal. I ordered the Eel Volcano roll for takeout and it was prepared in under 15 minutes alongside of a cup of Miso soup that I didn't realize I was getting (did include seaweed and tofu). The roll was DELICIOUS and I nearly forgot to take a picture of it before I finished it. The inside is nicely decorated with an intimate type of feel to it. Although I ordered takeout this time, I'm looking forward to being able to go again for dine-in. Reviews mention that the chef doesn't speak English well and docked stars for it, but you're ordering from a Japanese restaurant so it's a weird thing to complain about. If you're patient you'll be able to get what you need across. They also don't take Discover cards - so prepare accordingly! I didn't notice a parking lot, but there's street parking out front that I was able to find easily enough. Overall, definitely recommend and will be going back for more!

Second place that I find delicious sushi in NJ (you can see one of my reviews to know the other place). This place's menu is wide and the price of each is very reasonable, the flavor of the sushi is very fresh and the taste is great. The image I'm sharing are 3 different flavors, the menu itself on the tables have the pictures of each type of sushi (I forgot to tell them that I was eating there so they packed my sushi and that's what you can see in the picture, next time I'll go there I'll upload another picture). The decoration and the atmosphere of the place is comfortable and the customer service is good. I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I went for a late lunch. There was no customer there at 2:30 pm and the kitchen was closed. Our menu option is limited to the sushi bar. We ordered 4 different rolls. Boy! They were delicious. The rice was fresh and soft. One bite into the tuna volcano, you feel the tuna and the rice immediately melt in your mouth. No need to say more we finished every bit of sushi. This was the first time the food was prepared by the Japanese chief/owner. The place is cozy and small (7 tables) surrounded by many house plants. I found this eating establishment is very welcoming!!

Total garbage... I feel bad saying it.

Wow... I can't believe a single person gave this place over two stars. Worst sushi I've ever had hands down.

We walked into the place and it was empty at 7:30pm on a Thursday night. Literally empty. The sushi chef was just watching TV. Hot August day in NJ and no A/C on in the place either. That should have been signal to leave.

We tried four rolls that sounded amazing on the menu, 105, 112, 113, and 119 as numbered on the menu. Sushi is all about the rice. Sushi literally means seasoned rice. This rice was just terrible. Overcooked and bland. The nori paper was wet from the humidity since there is no A/C in the place. Same deal with the tempura flakes. Not crispy at all just chewy, wet fried dough. The "spicy tuna" inside our rolls tasted like canned tuna with spicy mayo. I couldn't see a single whole piece of tuna inside and it looked more like a paste. Ikura was just terrible. Salty and pungent but not in a good way. To top it off the fish itself was of poor quality and the food was NOT even greatly priced.

First time I've ever seen my financee not eat her sushi. I'm just hoping we...

I called for a pick up order and asked for crunch on the spicy shrimp rolls. I asked to have it added to my whole order. The man said "oh no, don't do that. Too much flour and too greasy for you. No good" I said okay fine, don't add it then I picked up and paid and left a tip. I got home and i didn't get any shrimp rolls that i asked for and got three miso soups in addition to the other rolls I ordered. $55 for California rolls is kind of insane, but whatever. The price isn't the issue. It's the fact that the rice on everything was very sticky and over cooked. It's the fact I asked for something and was rudely told no because it's too much flour. If they couldn't for whatever reason then say that. The whole thing was weird. I wouldn't go back but the...
