I ate at the saddle Brook New Jersey location and the service was superb! The prices were great and the food is spectacular! I had the steak with onions and peppers. It was so flavorful and abundant. . . There was so much steak that you didn't have to look for it! More than enough with each bite! My wife had their fried fish with rice and beans. The fish was fried in chunks that were boneless which was the first time I ever experienced that!! Very flavorful and again, the servings are tremendous! I'm from New York City, but every time I come pass this location I will make a point to stop in and have a lunch which is extremely affordable and very tasty. Tremendous Dominican flavor that I normally only find in the Bronx New York!!! I also have the banana shake. This is the first time I've tried this kind of shake where they make it from real bananas instead of imitation ingredients. It's the equivalent of a health drink in dessert form. The only sugars come from the banana itself and not fillers. Tremendous flavor from real ingredients that are fresh and cooked as you order, not sitting on a table. The staff is extremely accommodating and respectful. This was almost as if I was at my nephew's house! I hope they bring something like this to New York City in Harlem so I won't have to travel to the Bronx or New Jersey for original...
Read moreThe mofongo was excellent — full of flavor with great consistency. The ribs were outstanding, easily among the best I’ve had and definitely in my personal top 10. Those dishes really highlight the quality and talent of your kitchen.
Where I think there’s room for improvement is with the Yaroa. I was excited to share this classic Dominican street dish, but the version served wasn’t close to what you’d expect from an authentic Yaroa. The combination of sweet plantain pieces with dry chicken just didn’t capture the essence of the dish, and the 20-minute wait felt long considering a proper Yaroa usually takes much less time to prepare.
My suggestion would be to either revisit the recipe to make it closer to the authentic Dominican style, or consider focusing on what you do best — your ribs and mofongo, which are truly...
Read moreI’m not someone who usually writes reviews, but after trying this burger, I couldn’t stay quiet. I was blown away! I honestly believe this burger can compete with any other out there—hands down, the best I’ve ever had. But what really sets this place apart is the service. It’s so different from anywhere else. From the moment you walk in, you feel like part of the family. I’ve been here several times, and it never feels like I’m just a customer. It’s more like I’m dining at a close friend’s house.
If you're searching for a place to eat like royalty, with the best ribs, the best burgers, and service that makes you feel special, this is the spot. You...
