Good selection and staff was friendly other than the manager, Pearl. I came in to exchange a shirt I’d received as a gift that was the wrong size. I found the exact shirt there in a different size and asked to even exchange it. The cashier was happy to help but the manager came over and said that they wouldn’t do an even exchange without a receipt because that same shirt had been on sale several days before so I would have to pay $10 more to get a different size. She was very stubborn about it. I eventually went back to my car to rummage through old receipts and gift receipts. I love Mardel, but I went this week and bought something after standing in a LONG line with one cashier up front. Took it back to laminate it along with other things I had brought with me. The laminator has seen better days and kept stopping in the middle of jobs and suddenly going in reverse then back the correct way without me pressing anything. I showed the cashier that it messed up the item I just bought so she offered to take 50 cents off the cost of my lamination. I got home and started cutting everything out and the lamination film is peeling completely off every single thing I had. $18 worth of lamination and the item i bought was ruined too. Won’t be laminating...

I like Mardel's in general and this location. Before writing this I took at the negative reviews to try to understand. Most were complaining about Amazon being cheaper. I would say that if price and check-out speed are your only priorities, then sure, shop online. If you would like to visit a local Christian bookstore, you won't be disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I shop there for certain items frequently and plan to continue doing so.
