AmeriCare Physical Therapy — Attraction in Garwood

I cannot say enough good things about Americare PT. I have been to numerous PT facilities in the Union county area in the past and this has been my best experience thus far. (Having done PT for back pain in the past with little relief, I was definitely skeptical when I was prescribed Pelvic Floor PT from my doctor and with my ever changing work schedule I didn’t know how I would make it work. But the first time I called the facility as a new patient - they got me in THAT SAME DAY! Ever since then the receptionists and staff have continued to be so helpful, understanding, and flexible with my appointments.

That brings me to my therapist: Nicole, who I see for Pelvic Floor PT. I have been going to her for 3 months now and I can say she has done wonders for me! As I said, I was a big skeptic of PT but as soon as we met she approached me with a wealth of knowledge and confidence for her craft, answering ALL of my questions and never making me feel rushed. Not only is she ever adjusting my treatment plan to best benefit my progress, but she is providing the “why” behind it all - which has made me feel very empowered in my health journey. Every session, Nicole has different insight to how to improve my symptoms and shares with me all the research guiding her practice - proving to me she truly does follow evidence based practice! Beyond her brains, her warmth, kindness and positive attitude in every appointment has been invaluable and I’m so grateful for her!

The facility is clean, well kept, and organized and all the staff work so well together to accommodate the high volume of patients - it is truly a well oiled machine! The staff provide adequate privacy for specialized assessments and truly provide personalized care! I would recommend this place to everyone in need...

NEW UPDATE: HAD ACL surgery last year. Decided to come back to Americare for my post op therapy. I have been working with Michelle and she has been absolutely amazing. Always pushing me to work hard reminding me that it will pay off if i stick to it. Ive been coming here off and on for the past like 6 to 8 months and i cannot tell you enough how friendly, genuine and helpful all the staff are here. Im hoping after this no more injuries but if so i know where ill be going.

Here is my review of the staff at Americare. From Susan to Brian,Kelly,Paul and everyone else that works there thank you for everything you have all dome for me here. Prior to surgery for bursitis and bone spurs I could barely move my arm or do anything with it. After surgery I started going here and I am so glad I chose this place. The staff always greets you and makes you feel welcome they assess you when u first go and see what your conditions are they never lush you beyond your limitations and always do they're best to keep you interested in getting yourself back to working condition. Since I've been coming here I can sleep on that side I can do push ups I can hold my hand over my head. I can use my arm n shoulder on a daily basis without wondering how long I'll be in pain for afterwords. I'm only six months or so in and I know I have some things to still work on but I have just about 100 percent use of my arm back and I'm so thankful to alter staff here for getting me this far I can't wait to see what's going to happen next. Thank you all so much for everything you have all done for me....

I’m probably 4 weeks into a possible 6 week rehab program with the AmeriCare professionals at the Garwood NJ location. I have received nothing but superb care from everyone at this location. Across the board, from Solange at reception to Sara my primary therapist, each person has reached out to help me rehabilitate my new hip. The Physical Therapy aides greet me and get me started with warmup and strengthening. As new exercises are introduced Eric, Wilson and Adam show me the correct techniques and constantly monitor me for improvements or corrections that I need. My Physical Therapy Student, Antonio, works under the watchful eye of Sara, my primary therapist, and introduces me to more advanced exercises and provides supervised muscle and tissue manipulation. Sara, who is an experienced and intuitive Physical Therapist, has provided the initial and continuing manipulations which are crucial for a timely return of normal muscle movement. The most comforting part of each visit is observing how all of the Garwood employees work openly together to share what he or she thinks may be important in the treatment I’m receiving. I can sense these same feelings in my fellow patients as they come and go with smiles and enthusiasm. I’ll miss this group when my therapy comes to an end.
