It's ok I guess, not a lot of inventory changes week to week. It's definitely the most overpriced of the Habitat restores within 75 miles, I can't believe some of the prices of things that have been there for a few months with no change.
If you want a couch or soap dispenser, it could be ok, but as far as building materials go, most of it is mismatched and once again, overpriced.
The electronic section is not great either, mostly just thrown on a shelf with no rhyme or reason. There's a lot of niche stuff there as well, like intakes for random cars and weird filters for special water treatment systems, which are priced at retail prices as well and have been there for a long time.
The staff is usually nice at least, and occasionally you'll find some decent tools for a good price.
It honestly seems like it's run by a hoarder, with this idea that a lot of this old stuff is worth a fortune, but occasionally there's something they don't understand that they basically give away.
Worth a look at if you're trying to kill some time, but don't make a...
Read moreGood bargains purchases in dollars go back to the community to build houses. Items are very gently used normally. It's your typical used item type store. Some items are donated by businesses that are new in box also assorted varieties of apparels. Shop often as new items come in frequently. Prices are reasonable the longer items stay in the store the price will be marked down. Use your discretion on buying. Not sure of return policy they are easy to contact. And easily visible from the highway. ( 74 ) it is in the "old" northern tool location they are open untill 6 pm after purchase you have three days to pick up otherwise the item goes back on sale. The staff is friendly and helpful. But when buying large heavy items you are better off bringing help to load. Also if your buying an item that has to be disassembled be sure to bring your camera to snap photos of item, makes it easier to reassemble when you get it home. Items you can find refrigerators, rugs, light fixtures, vanities, doors. And assorted electronic / electric...
Read moreSome good things there, but prices are totally ridiculous. Daughter and I went there, GW, and SA. Lots of people, including us, shopping/ buying at GW, and SA, only a few poor souls walking around(in shock) at Restore. Gastonia Restore prices are even higher than area antique shops and we also saw many newer household items priced higher than retail! Trying to get daughter set up in her first home, and there were a good many items we would have purchased had they been fairly priced. Because of the ridiculous prices throughout the store, there was nothing at Restore we would consider, and we won't waste our time going in there again. Suggestion for management- go visit your competitors see what things should be priced so you can actually sell your hoard! Additional note, visited several Charlotte Restores in the past few months, items in those stores were not priced...
