Park Liquor Store — Attraction in Gatlinburg

Very small and prices are still high despite what their employees might say about the other liquor stores. They didn’t have one of the things I needed and the gentleman proceeded to tell me where I could find it. He made it a strong point to tell me how generally terrible and overpriced the next closest liquor store was among other negative things. Honestly, it was off-putting and borderline obnoxious. I chose not to take his advice and went to that other liquor store. It was some kind of superstore and over twice the size. Prices were very similar. Some things were a little cheaper and some things a little more expensive. The staff was also much more pleasant, welcoming and helpful. One of the employees at the superstore seemed pretty annoyed when I told him all this because apparently they send customers to Park Liquor dozens of times a day if they don’t have something a customer is looking for. On December 2 after traveling eight hours to spend a week in Gatlinburg, the wife and I had a plan to get some food, buy some liquor, and then go to the store for some supplies. It was cold and rainy, and we were happy that everything was so close in one shopping center. Wife and I parked, and then the employee from the liquor store comes out telling me that I had to move my car if I was going to eat because I was in front of his liquor store. I really would’ve had no problem moving my car if he had been nicer, but his attitude was horrible. I even told him I was planning on coming to his liquor store afterwards, but since he was so rude, I would take my business elsewhere. He said that was fine with him and that he didn’t care. When we pulled into the parking lot and parked we were going to place a to go order at the Italian restaurant next door than come back to the liquor store and get a few things while we waited on on our food. Some long haired guys comes out the front door yelling at us that we had to move our car. We could not park in front of the store. We tried explaining to him what we were going to do. He did not car told us to move our car if we were going anywhere else but there. My wife went next door and I went into the liquor store he told me there was another liquor store on the road.
