I recently moved and the Gilbert location is the closest to me. I've been having some back problems and decided to book an appointment finally after putting it off for months. Now, this isn't a 'pissed off person because of insurance problems' or a 'I had to pay blah blah' I'm writing this because the service and professionalism is absolute shite. Now I usually go to the Queen creek location, they're always great and friendly but now that I live much farther away the Gilbert location was more convenient. Or I thought. When I called to set up my appointment the receptionist was very unprofessional. I thought maybe it was an off day? I work with people a lot so I know it can be frustrating. I get it. It took me about 8 minutes just to book an appointment. I did a lot of re-explaining and there was a lot of confusion. I assumed she's new so nbd. I come to my appointment the next day and the receptionist on duty was very nice. I get checked in really quick. I get pulled back by this very angry woman. Like, she wasn't yelling or anything she just had a very angry aura about her, she did my vitals in awkward silence. I've been sick before (lol) so I assume it's the same drill at each Banner. Though...I was uncomfortable. I get to the room and my doctor took a very long time to see me, but I was just there for my back and so I figured that there were other patients who had more urgent things than me, which is again no big deal. :) When she came in and asked about my back I explained how I had been feeling and I felt a large painful bump near my tailbone and how my leg numbs up etc. She kept asking me if it was a cyst and I told her, nah I think I have a pinched nerve or something it's not too big of a deal it just really really hurts. She felt my tailbone and her demeanor kinda changed. She said rudely "Well, I don't feel or see this lump that you're even talking about." I'm confused because you literally can feel it but I trust her because she went to school for this, I didn't. I asked for something for the pain and she was really reluctant to give me anything. The whole time she talked to me she asked me "okay so do you understand me?" I was responding to her, nodding, etc. "But do you understand." Like whoa, don't catch an attitude dude. Not needed. I got you. So she rolls her eyes and says, I'll write you for an x ray but I don't think there's anything wrong with you. I didn't feel that lump you're talking about but I GUESS if you're in pain I will look. This lady was really snide and condescending the whole visit, which was maybe 5 minutes. She gets me a lab for an x ray and the same angry lady from before handed me the paper and said X ray is down the hall. Okay, there are lots of halls but i just guessed since I go to the other location. Bingo. So I walk up and I first I thought I was in the wrong area because no one was at the desk a guy pokes his head around the corner. He was really nice and helpful, probably the most professional person there! But the worst part, a lady came out of nowhere and pulled me back to xray. When I met her at the door she looked me up and down and made a grossed out look at me. I had just gotten off of work so I'm not 100% put together. (Food service) she tells me to lay down on the table and I do. She said she had to adjust my pants so they could get a better look but she acted like she didn't want to touch me like as if I had cooties or something and it was so awkward. She could've just asked me to do it... She asked me what was wrong and I said my tailbone/back. She interrupted me and said I'll tell you when and when not to breathe and walked away. So they take a few images and she didn't tell me I was done until there was a snark "Oh, you're done I guess. You can leave now." They started talking and I found my way out but everyone was so vague with me I didn't know if I had to check out with reception too? I just went ahead and left. To make it short, I will never go to this location ever again. This location needs a seminar about treating...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am sad to write this review. I really did give them a chance and remained positive, but I do have to be honest now. The initial visit was great. Dr. Aaron Gomez was very nice and patient with my autistic son. The visit went as smooth as possible. What happened after is why Iām writing the review.
The workers there have messed up all of my sonās referrals. Multiple times. Even over simple things like blood work referrals. We arrived at my sonās Labcorp appt only to find out they still hadnāt sent the referral. Waiting is a huge trigger for my autistic son. I had to recall banner for the 5th time about this single referral and made them stay on the phone to fax it over to Labcorp. They assured me on prior phone calls that they did - which was a blatant lie apparently. I counted 20+ phone calls I have made to them asking to call me about referrals they have messed up. They havenāt even bothered to call me over my sonās blood work results - which I have called them 4 times about that singular test. I still donāt know what his bloodwork results mean. They still have not called.
I have not gotten a call about my sonās eye test. I donāt know if his eyesight is adequate or not.
They have not given proper paperwork to the genetics testing lab for my sonās genetic testing. I have had to call multiple times back and forth from banner to genetics lab for that as well.
The referral list given to my son for therapies were not applicable to my son because of things like age or occupancy.
The referral for diapers was also not applicable - and they havenāt tried to amend this by referring to another facility that can provide diapers for my son.
Itās unfortunate to write this because everyone is so nice.. but they cannot handle simple tasks like faxing documents, or even calling me back.
They always say āIāll let a medical team knowā or āIāll have them call you by the end of the dayā and they never do.. I have worked in a similar field and know that there are a lot of phone calls and clients.. but when u have called SO many times, reminded them, checked back in, and given them ample time to get back to me, there is no excuse.
My sonās appointment was Sept 11⦠it is now Oct 22nd and I havenāt heard from anybody. Thats absurd in my opinion. Why put my son thru all of this when we donāt even...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have noticed Iām confined to the amount of text so Iāll start with some facts. I asked āFrankyā to send me a regular review which I received at every visit with my former GP. Ok hereās the deal, I picked a new GP. It was an interview, which I told him. Dr.Gianquinto was all that I would expect from someone who lacked experience. He is 35, I am 71, which I have no issue with, unless you have āa bedside mannerā, I saw zero evidence of compassion and a very demanding and condescending manner. If you are in chronic pain, donāt even consider seeing him he said āI donāt do pain management ā so go pound sand if your in severe pain. He really doesnāt understand people with real severe pain, it seems that he is more concerned with the liabilities that come with dealing with clients who have legitimate chronic pain. The worst part was his demanding demeanor, it was very offensive. He is young, (35) regardless of his medical pedigree, but has limited life experience to be able to discuss issues with people twice his age. Iām pretty certain he can manage a younger persons ideas to conform to his ideas and suggestions. You have a lot of work ahead of you l, maybe this will help. I worked in the executive leadership world with to 5 companies and understand both the importance of customer service, but also the administrative side of businesses. Itās most likely that you can only spend 25%of your time with your clients. Iāve been the President of a 501(C3) in which I was privileged to go to several legislative conferences in DC. The biggest single issue from all the Doctors was the time spent with their patients. My hope is you can learn from my tough review. I only wish sh...
