Went here based on the Best of Baltimore listing. Usually these are pretty good recommendations, but this was a complete miss. The service was absolutely terrible. Chips were never refilled, despite ordering a separate appetizer that came with chips. Waitress never stopped by to ask if we needed anything additional. I asked for a glass of water, the waitress brought a bottle (for an extra $1.50 of course). At the end of the meal, the waitress didn't even bother to bring our check, someone in our party had to go up and request specifically.
In addition to the terrible service, the restaurant included a jukebox where the music plays at a deafening volume. We asked the waitress if they could turn it down a little, which they did for about 5 minutes, until a different person returned and turned it up even louder. The entire time I was in there I had the feeling that if you were caucasian you were not welcome.
All of this would have been tolerable if the food made up for it, however I would classify it as mediocre at best. The guac was good and appeared to be made in house, however for our entrees half of the food on the plate was cold.
Needless to say, I will never return here and I would not...
Read moreInteresting place. The food is authentic so that’s always a plus. My food however (milanesa de res) had almost zero flavor. Ooohhhh and then... 🤦♀️ I didn’t eat the chips and salsa so when they brought my food out they removed it from the table. The negative was that they placed the same chips and salsa back in the place they serve it, meaning the intention was to serve it to the next person. Uh, no. I could’ve sneezed on it; whatever could’ve happened. Transferring food from one table to the next is always a no go for me. Then they had one waitress, which is fine, but she didn’t speak English. I do speak Spanish, but to see her unable to communicate with those who didn’t made me sorry for their customer demographics. Then again, my mind is always on marketing. That’s...
Read moreOrdered 3 birria tacos, 3 tacos, two asada and one pastor and a chicken quesadilla. Got the birria right but they were flavorless which was truly sad, the tacos were all asada which isn't bad I love asada but when I order one to be pastor I expect to get what I asked and paid for. The chicken quesadilla was truly what upset me the most, they not only forgot to add chicken, but had the audacity to say they wouldn't fix it without paying 12.99 after I already paid for one. I never experienced this level of disrespect. 0 out of 5 if I could. $35 for trash mexican food. Steer clear of this location. Jalapeño market has way better...
