TL/DR: My experience with Maximum --- Great service. Very reasonable prices.
Needed a Kenwood stereo I purchased on Amazon installed in my 2005 F-150. The truck is old and I plan on replacing it sometime in the next three years. But I needed something to listen to (the factory-installed stereo was jacked up), so I wanted something halfway decent but I really didn't want to pour a bunch of cash into the truck since I'm eventually replacing it.
Looked at a ton reviews for car stereo installers around the valley. Maximum and one other in Gilbert had the most positive reviews. Got a quote for $245 from the one in Gilbert to install the Kenwood already purchased, and I was going to have to wait more than a week and a half for the work to be done.
I called Maximum, and they quoted me $89 out the door, and service immediately. Next day (Friday) I drove up to Maximum and met with Mike, the manager. He was very pleasant, told me exactly what they were going to do; showed me exactly what I would need for the install (harness and something else), and said it would take about an hour to an hour and a half to install. Said his dad was going to do the install. (His Dad!? Crazy, right?). Anyway, about forty minutes later, the job was done, and stereo was working fine .... for the most part. The one thing that wasn't working was the microphone pickup for the Bluetooth Phone.
After futzing with it for a while at home, I called Maximum. By this time, Mike was gone, but his dad answered the phone. I explained to him the problem and he insisted I come back right away (even though it was very late on a Friday), and he'd get it working properly. I did as he insisted, and within ten minutes the whole stereo package---Bluetooth phone and all---was working great.
My experience with Maximum --- Great service. Very reasonable prices.
For someone that doesn't know a lot about stereos or stereo installation, I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. In this day and age, especially in this town, if you find a place that charges you a reasonable price, doesn't make you feel like you're being taken advantage of, and everything works out as well as you could hope for, then I don't believe there's a higher recommendation to give.
I'll go back to Maximum if and when I want car stereo work done, and I will happily pass my experience and my recommendation along to anyone needing car...
Read moreSammy, Mike, & the rest of the Maximum Sound crew went well above & beyond with my particular install situation. I'm very nostalgic, and had a 31yo 12" Pioneer speaker along with an amp that was over 10yrs old, installed in my Lincoln MKZ. My amp was cutting in and out. A few days after the install, Sammy personally checked the work and informed me that the amp was on its last legs. I ordered a Kicker CXA800.1 amp & a 12" Pioneer TS-A301D4 4ohm Dual Coil sub. Amp came first then the sub.
The afternoon the sub came, I took the packages down to Maximum Sound, and Sammy gave me an excellent price on the re-install. The MS crew hooked my 4ohm dual coil sub to 2ohms to the Kicker amp, and that thing smaccs! Getting 600W RMS of chest pounding bass to my THX sound system.
Highly recommend anyone that's looking for an amazing shop, knowledgeable owners and installers, to get your sound needs taken care of! Sammy & Mike will work with you to make sure the work is done correctly, making sure you're not burning a hole in your wallet, and making sure you, as a valued customer, are leaving happy and satisfied with the work the Maximum Sound crew provided. They are truly a last of a dying breed as it comes to customer service and...
Read moreRecently went to upgrade some speakers Maximum installed a few years back. They are the only people who have touched my system. Where do I begin... They half assed the sound deadening in the doors, didnt roller the material in the trunk so it failed, fell and got nasty adhesive all over my sub box and golf clubs that were in the trunk. Installed the RCAs wrong (front is wired to rear and left to right) didnt tune anything, broke my rear passenger door lock (claimed the locking mechanism was pneumatic and not their problem. Its a 2015 Jetta with electric locks...) didnt use the door baffles I asked them to use. Wired the system like a blind monkey on crack. Oh, and my favorite part, WIRED THE POWER TO FUSED BLOCKS AND PUT THE NEGATIVE ON 40A FUSES. Good thing my car didnt burn down. Now, some of this I knew about (the door) and didnt go back cuz, lets face it, they were incompetent enough to break it and dishonest enough to lie to me about it (owners son BTW who showed up 45 minutes late for my scheduled install) so why would I trust them to ever touch my car again? I fixed everything else I paid them to do in the first place that they didnt and will NEVER be using them for...
