If you want an amazing meal this is the place to go!!!! Let's start by talking about the staff, each and everyone of them is as sweet as the kisses you get at the end of your meal, so friendly, make you feel welcomed, helpful, pay attention to you, willing to provide you with recommendations, look out for the regulars but they don't put the regulars above the new customers and on top of that they are still very professional. One day a lady had come in and was sitting by herself at a table for four, the lady had been there just long enough to order her drink, when a man walked in alone and was waiting to be seated, I watched the waitress (because I'm nosey) go to the lady and ask her if she would mind some company and pointed to the man, the lady so not at all!!! Now I assume since they both looked to be regulars they knew each other, but that doesn't always mean they would be willing to sit and eat with each other, but I watched the lady and man talk and laugh and have a great time together. This is truly a great and friendly place and if the waitress hadn't been so caring these two would of eaten by themselves and not had any one to talk to, not that that's a bad thing, but a happy meal with a friend is always better. Now let's get to the food, I highly recommend ordering a meal that comes with the baker basket, the little fresh warm muffins are so good (heck I would order something I wasn't feeling just to get the muffins), with just a little butter the best!!!! Of course you have your standards like eggs, meat, and bread but then you have some unique options too, I highly recommend the Cajun omlet šŸ˜‹ my favorite. The pancakes are big and fluffy the potatoes are the best in town and all the ingredients are quality, not to mention the portions are huge so come hungry!!! Now let's wrap it up, the restaurant is decorated super cool, it's very clean and so affordable, this is truly a gem in Glendale. Thank you so much for the great food and even more so for the friendly and caring...

Second time in, I invited Two friends for breakfast on a Tuesday. Food was delicious but our waitress was not in the best disposition from the start. When she offered me coffee (since I was the last to arrive at my table) she offered regular or flavored, I asked if the flavored was the hazelnut (since that’s the one they had last time I was there) she said vanilla! I asked if by any chance they had the hazelnut and in a scolding tone she said ā€œI said today is vanilla!ā€ We let that go and continued with our breakfast. We finished our food, continued our chat while finishing our coffee, she just came to bring us the check and didn’t come back at all after to check on us for more coffee or anything else. After 20min she just came and told us ā€œI hate to bother you but there’s people waiting for this specific tableā€. We looked around and the restaurant was half empty, there were plenty of tables available and there was only one couple waiting to be seated. Needless to say we felt very unwelcomed, we were not being loud, we weren’t even laughing at all. We felt she used that line to boot us out. I feel bad for bringing my friends and having that bad first experience. That was quite rude from the waitress. It’s a shame because my first experience was great, three friends invited me, it was a busy Sunday morning, we overstayed way longer at our table as many others did that day and our waitress at that time treated us kindly and with professionalism, never rushed us, never booted us out. I will definitely stop bringing people again, I don’t want to risk being served by that...

We noticed how full the parking lot was as we pulled in. That always indicates that the neighborhood appreciates the restaurant and enjoys the menu items. When we got inside there was a line, which further proves the point. People also seemed to know the staff, so that proves there are many repeat diners. We waited 10-minutes before being seated. During this time we read the menu and made our choices. We were served some ice water immediately after being seated and shortly thereafter the wait person arrived with a basket of homemade warm mini bran muffins. They were two bites apiece and very good. I ordered Eggs Benedict, which were served with hashbrowns. The other person at my table ordered a large waffle. Both were very good. The wait person was in careful attendance, monitoring our water glasses. There is also a covered container of homemade apple butter on the table. It sits out of the refrigerator all day and was quite runny. We decided to avoid this for those reasons. We dined on the spur of the moment on a Sunday. Kiss The Cook is a mom and pop place which serves breakfast and lunch only and on Sunday's, they close at 1. We were glad to be in time to have a late breakfast. All menu items are served with A Kiss. The restaurant was full of families and all ages, but there was no blasting 'atmosphere' music and we could talk while eating. There a party room in the back and dining on the comfortable patio, where dogs are welcome and given their own menus, with water bowls and treats. Parking is ample and the restrooms are certainly adequate. We will certainly be back

Always a yummy breakfast!!! We each ordered the Cooks Combo which includes 2 eggs any style, 2 bacon or sausage, 2 pancakes and bakers basket. We also added a side of potatoes for a couple dollars more. When ordering any meal with a bakers basket they will bring out a basket of warm tiny muffins (usually an assortment of zucchini, bran and pineapple) and these are to die for! You can also purchase some to take home. The food always comes out fresh and hot and the pancakes are light and soft, not dense like hockey puck pancakes, and served with a topping of soft whipped butter and one of my favorites in the area. The scrambled eggs are cooked fluffy, never hard and bacon is always crispy. The only drawback for me is all of the clutter and knick knacks in the dining area collecting dust. There are even displays on tables taking up valuable dining space. Some of the chairs are quite uncomfortable and most of the chairs do not match like they were from your grandma and her friends old used furniture. They have about 6 outside eating area tables as well. There are a couple of cute statues and I understand this is their decor, but I guess I am watching to much Restaurant Impossible and prefer a restaurant more streamlined and dust free eating environment. Overall the food is worth overlooking all of the dusty clutter in the restaurant and possibly waiting for a table because of the wasted seating space. One of my favorite go to restaurants for breakfast!

Okay. I was expecting to much maybe? Based on the reviews from this place I expected to find less lacking in all areas of this place. When you arrive you sign in like some sort of Drs office, I am positive that some folks that came into line after me were seated first, the wait staff knew them by name. After being seated we waited several minutes to be seen, (no surprise) they were very busy. Once we were seen we had already decided what we wanted to eat but the waitress took our drink order and simply turned and walked away. No ā€œI’ll be right backā€ or a single word. Then we got the basket of muffins and I had one and could not tell what kind it was and it was dry. Then the coffee arrived in a liquor glass, clear, the coffee was so see through that I am able to view the room by looking thru it. The food arrived and there were a few potato’s but not many on the side and a huge omelet. The issue was the menu itself. Breakfast was eggs and more eggs with some small number of other choices to go along with the eggs and more eggs. I asked for bacon on my omelet and while it may have been there in spirit it was not there at all in flavor and I saw none in my omelet. Also the omelet eggs seemed to be the kind that come in the cartoon not the actual shell. I have no idea what the waitress’s name was as it was never offered, however in truth there is not a need for that I guess, but still.
