Absolutely beautiful trail but I went a few times this week and yesterday I had a huge rattle snake rattle up as I was walking through the brush towards the beginning of the trail. I was so freaked out and ran back to my car. I was there at around 2pm, although it was a hot day, I was surprised that it was out at this time which makes me think there are quite a few of them out there. With all the brush in the first chunk of the hike, there are plenty of spots where it is hard to see what’s around, this guy rattled up about 2 feet away from my feet where the trail really narrows down and you have plants growing into the trail. Read moreQuiet with very few people for a Saturday afternoon! No dedicated parking so you will have to park on residential street. You can see all of Glendale with its highways and crowded buildings, but also the other side looking at the Mountains. I did the whole trail with stops/pictures in about 1h 15m. It was about 75 degrees but it felt ALOT hotter....no shade so bring a hat or sunglasses. Wear something light. Have some tread you may slip a little going up/down many hills. Read moreI love this hike. Great views of downtown LA on a clear day. I love all the pretty flowers during the super bloom. You can go as long or as short as you want the rolling hills are just magic! We live in eagle rock and have always been able to see these flowers from below. So glad we were able to find this spot. This is in a residential community so definitely try to respect the neighborhood and don’t litter...
