I am updating my previous poor rating as the Customer Service Manager, Jessica, after seeing this review, called me and said that they had erred in not providing me credit as previously requested and apologized for any inconvenience. She sent me a return FEDEX label to return the case and issued me a full refund for the case. She also said she would followup with Hunter to determine how this occured. PREVIOUS REVIEW
No return for you'!! I have been dealing with Sierra Madre for years and have been satisfied in the past but my recent experience was appalling and should be fair warning to all buyers!
The purchase I made from their “on line swap meet” on 10 March, for my 356, included 2 carpet trim pieces and a 356 “replica tool bag”. Unfortunately the black dye on the tool bag had bled onto the white interior of the bag and left it with black blotches on the interior lining which made it ascetically unacceptable. I called Sierra Madre the day I received my order and spoke to Hunter Johnson who said that it stated that it was a “scratch & dent” sale and therefore they could not do a price reduction, refund or replacement. After I reviewed the documentation regarding the “swap meet sale”, and found nothing stating it was a “scratch & dent” sale, I forwarded that documentation along with the pictures of the tool bag with damage to Hunter for his review and edification.
Hunter called me back and said that he received my email with the attachments described above but unfortunately, they were unable to provide me a refund as he was told by his superiors that it stated in the notification email to all its customers regarding the upcoming auction, that “all sales were final”. I responded that this too was not true and sent him a “screenshot” of subject email validating that it did not in fact state “all sales were final”.
Once again Hunter went to his superior with the new information but once again my request to return and receive a refund was denied.
It is difficult for me to understand why Sierra Madre is being so contumacious over a $40 product to a long and loyal past customer like myself. It surely doesn’t foster good will and it’s absolutely not fair.
If Sierra Madre thinks that I will surrender on the issue and just go away, I can assure them that as a retired senior military officer seasoned in combat, I don’t surrender and this battle has just begun and will be costly to them in future sales as I will disseminate my concerns to all my Porsche Club collogues via emails and internet postings.

Read moreI just reread a post I wrote two years ago about 4 defective wheels I bought and Jorge's response which is absolutely contrary to what he told me over the phone. The wheels were defective in that not a single one of them could be balanced. When I called SM and ultimately spoke to Jorge he said I couldn't return them based on the fact I didn't like them. That was not the case. They were out of round and could not be used. The response from him on Google that I just now read, which was also posted two years ago, said they may have worked something out if I hadn't waited 1 1/2 years to report the problem. That's a flat out lie. I asked for a refund and he said to send them back so that they could look at the wheels and make a judgement before giving me a refund. As you would expect. they said nothing was wrong with the wheels and denied to refund shipping-both ways, plus the price of the wheels. All in all the transaction cost me over $400.00. Read more3/17 I purchased a bundle deal listed on their website. $7200 minus a 10% coupon for exhaust, intake, and tuner. Sierra madre did not want to stand behind their listing asking me to pay an additional 2800 if I wanted it because they “miss labeled” the listing and or they didn’t not want to apply the coupon they sent me. I am now getting a lower optioned exhaust, no intake and no tuner for the same price.
Customer service is definitely not their main focus, while trying to sort it all out owner said “It’s a mistake but we’ll take care of you” sending me lower quality and less product for the same price isn’t taking care of me. Overall Customer service team is pretty rough, didn’t take the time to call me to figure things out but instead continued to send me request for additional pay. Id give a lower rating if I could Dealing with issues, customer service and honesty is definitely not their strong suit.
