Yum Yum Mediterranean Food!
So happy to have this good local Mediterranean Restaurant so close to home.
This location has been a numerous of restaurants in the past but for some reason they don't stick around, I hope Seasoning Alley makes it. It's located right on the corner of beautiful little old town Monrovia. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy. Inside they have very low and relaxing lighting with eye catching chandeliers and the outdoor seating is near curbside with outdoor lighting hanging above which always looks great.
As you walk in the counter and menus are straight ahead, you place your order at the counter and they they will give you a number to place at your table (open seating/seat yourself) once the food is ready they will bring it to your table. The service was just great, our cashier was our server and she was so helpful/friendly/welcoming, she made our visit perfect. We were even checked on while dinning to see if we were doing well.
Food was delicious and great presentation. I of course have eyes bigger than my stomach so I ordered to full plates :) lol I really enjoyed my Gyro, I first had Gyros when I was in Greece last summer so I was so happy they had them on the menu and they were perfect... my other plate was fully boxed up to go which tells you the portions are good and one plate is filling enough ;)
It's a perfect place to pick up lunch and go or sit and relax to enjoy the company of friends. I highly recommend you give this place a try if you are in the...

Seasoning Alley is a little Mediterranean restaurant right in the center of Montrose. Since I know absolutely nothing about Mediterranean food and even the most basic stuff like hummus and pita bread are exotic and alien to me, I found it a bit difficult to order. Fortunately I was with some Mediterranean food veterans and the big pictures on the wall of the food also facilitated the effort.
I do love rice and the huge plate of rice that I received was excellent.
The service was pleasant and the restaurant simple but well spaced and gave enough room to stretch out and relax while engaging in the gluttony. The décor was plain but gave a vague hint of Mediterranean feel to it.
Definitely some interesting and tasty food that is very rare in Rhode Island. Still not sure what the hell I ate but I left happy and satisfied, filled with a night of good food and...
Read moreWe eat here a couple of time per month. The food quality is fresh and tasty, portions are great and prices are reasonable (considering the current, crazy commodity inflation). We like it enough to keeping coming back over the past nine years. But, that is not why I am writing this review. Since I have been in the business for 40 years, I want to give the owner special commendations. This is why good restaurants do well.
We ate there last night and I had the Greek salad placed "to go" in a box and forgot it on the table outside. Got home, realized my mistake and drove back after 9pm when the restaurant had just closed and was dark. Tapped on the window and the owner emerged from the back, opened the door, said "no problem" and made me a freash salad "to go". Now...that's the way to do it. We'll be...
