Louie Pompei Memorial Sports Park (by Reservation Only) — Attraction in Glendora

Is this the park behind AMC theaters? If it is then my brothers and I pretty much had a not so good experience. We were just there with our dogs about 10 mins ago. I had my scooter with me too, just wanted to ride around for a bit. When we were all the way at the bottom of the pathway, someone comes up and tells us we can’t have our dogs here and I can’t be riding my scooter either. To be fair there are a few signs that says this. But we just didn’t see them. I get it. They want the park clean. But what I don’t understand is why they also double up and don’t allow any food and drink at all. Never seen that before. You really don’t want people to eat and drink water at a park??? This place has high reviews, people saying they’ve walked down here with their dogs before. So did the rules change or something? And if that person who approached us is an employee, then fair enough. But if he isn’t (which is very likely) then he really should mind his own business. No full size soccer field. So many are multi usage; there are way too many colored lines for little kids to keep track of. But of course the peewee football field is practically perfect for all those kid concussions I get to treat in clinic. Does Glendora put money into the only 2 small "parks" it has? And no one is addressing the unsafe people present there (thank you train tracks). I pay alot to live here but drive to San Dimas, La Verne, Claremont, and Duarte if we want to go to a real park and play. (And arnt we all having to pay for private school too). What are our city taxes...

Louie Pompeii Memorial Sports Park is the premier destination for softball in the San Gabriel Valley. Home fields for the Glendora Lassie League, an all-girls fastpitch organization in USA Softball of Southern California's Northern District.
