Today, during a special mother-daughter shopping day with my daughter, we experienced some very unsettling behavior at this HomeGoods location. A man followed us around the entire store for no apparent reason. While we are unsure if this behavior was racially motivated, it was deeply disappointing and made us feel uncomfortable. This is unfortunately not the first time something like this has happened. On a previous visit, my husband and I were also followed by someone else in the store. When my husband asked why he was being followed, it highlighted how strange and intrusive this behavior is. Considering the large size of many items at HomeGoods, which would be difficult to steal or conceal, being watched so closely did not seem justified and made us feel unfairly targeted. The individuals involved appeared to be different people on these occasions, which leaves me uncertain whether this was an overzealous security measure or simply unsettling behavior from other shoppers. Either way, it created an uncomfortable and unwelcome atmosphere. Due to these repeated experiences, I have decided I will no longer shop at this store. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to create a more respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for all customers.

Today was supposed to be a nice mother-daughter shopping day, but instead, we left this HomeGoods location feeling discouraged, uncomfortable, and completely disrespected. A man followed us around the entire store for absolutely no reason. We have no idea who he was or why he felt entitled to stalk us down every aisle — but it was creepy, unnecessary, and frankly, disturbing. This isn’t even the first time something like this has happened here. On a previous visit, my parents were followed too. When my dad called it out, it only proved how bizarre and invasive this behavior really is. HomeGoods sells furniture and oversized decor — it’s not exactly easy to walk off with a floor lamp or a mirror — so there’s really no excuse for watching us like hawks. What’s worse is that it seems to be different people each time, which makes me question whether this is some kind of store policy or just random people feeling entitled to follow Black shoppers. Either way, it’s unacceptable. I will never shop at this location again. If management actually cares about creating a safe and respectful space, they need to get their staff — and whoever else feels empowered to act like this — all the way together. This kind of behavior is out of line and disgusting. Do better.

I drive out of my way to shop at this one. I just feel like they have more stuff. Stopped in to look at some wall art found one on clearance that i liked but the frame was all beat up. I would have to remove the print sand down and paint the frame. not a big problem but when i asked if they could take a little off for that i was told no. She didnt even take the time to look at all the damage just no and moved all. I work in retail and thats not good customer service. Take the time to see what we are taking about take the time to explain to the customer why you dont mark down for stuff like that.

It was nerve-wracking coming here. I think we're all confused over which rules are in effect but in here, anything goes. Absolutely no customers wore masks except me (I don't remember if the staff wore them but I think they did), most people didn't keep any distance at all, and the arrows on the floor are a total joke. Some of them literally point to a corner with no way out, making it impossible to follow them. There was more than one instance where two arrows from different intersecting aisle pointed to the same corner and staff were blocking some aisles with carts of stuff they were restocking and it caused several awkward interactions where no one knew how to properly navigate. If customers and staff (mostly customers) were a bit more aware of the space they're taking up, we might have all been able to shop in peace and safety but I think it will be a while before it's smooth sailing. Not to mention the inventory is severely lacking so it just wasn't worth the anxiety to keep looking. I didn't last long in this store and it will be quite a while before I...
