On Friday, January 10th, I went to 24 Hour Fitness with my friend, who wanted to use a 3-day free trial guest pass. I am a paying member of this gym, so I was confident that redeeming the pass would be straightforward. When we arrived, we patiently waited for about 20 minutes while the manager, a female employee, assisted another customer with a membership, which I completely understood. For context, I’ve had great experiences with the male manager—he’s professional, approachable, and respectful. Unfortunately, the female manager’s behavior was the complete opposite and extremely concerning.
Instead of welcoming us or addressing us professionally, she immediately accused us of sneaking my friend into the gym multiple times. This accusation was completely false, as it was my friend’s first time ever visiting this location. When I asked her when and how she had supposedly seen this happen, she refused to provide any details, became defensive, and outright said she wouldn’t help us redeem the guest pass. Her refusal to provide any explanation or engage respectfully felt dismissive and unprofessional.
Despite her hostility, I remained polite and respectful, even offering to purchase a guest pass for my friend to resolve the situation. When I asked if the cost was $20 for three days, she snapped back, claiming it was $20 for just one day. This directly contradicted what I knew to be true because another friend of mine had recently purchased a 3-day guest pass for $20 at the same location. When I brought up this inconsistency, she doubled down, denied it, and continued to pressure my friend into purchasing a pass under false pretenses.
At one point during the interaction, I mentioned that I already had a membership. Her reaction made it clear that this caught her off guard, as she seemed surprised and stopped targeting me with her manipulative behavior. However, she continued to belittle my friend and refused to provide a clear or reasonable explanation for her actions. Her attitude made it obvious that she was more focused on asserting her authority than following gym policies or providing quality customer service.
Her false accusations, refusal to assist us with redeeming the guest pass, and misinformation about pricing reflect poorly on the gym’s standards and policies. As a paying member, I was shocked and deeply disappointed by how this manager treated us. Her behavior not only ruined our visit but also raised serious concerns about the professionalism and integrity of the staff at this location.
I urge corporate to address this issue, as her conduct was unacceptable and does not reflect the level of service members and potential guests should expect at 24...
Read moreOn Friday, January 10th, at approximately 6 pm I went to 24 Hour Fitness with a friend who is already a paying member. I was looking forward to using a 3-day free trial guest pass to see if the gym would be a good fit for me. When we arrived, we waited for about 20 minutes while the manager, a female employee, helped someone with a membership. I didn’t mind the wait and was happy to give it a try.
However, when the manager finally approached us, things quickly went downhill. Instead of assisting us with the guest pass, she accused me of sneaking into the gym multiple times. This made no sense—it was my very first time visiting this gym. When my friend calmly asked for specifics about when she had supposedly seen this happen, the manager refused to answer and said she wouldn’t help us redeem the pass. Her tone was rude and dismissive, and she ignored every question we asked.
My friend tried to resolve the situation by offering to pay for a guest pass instead. When he asked if the price was $20 for three days, the manager snapped back that it was $20 for just one day. This didn’t seem right since my friend mentioned that another person he knows had recently purchased a 3-day pass for $20 at the same gym. When he pointed out the inconsistency, she denied it and seemed more interested in pressuring me to pay than providing accurate information.
At one point, my friend mentioned that he was already a member, and the manager’s attitude shifted—she seemed surprised and backed off from targeting him. However, her behavior toward me remained disrespectful and unhelpful. She didn’t provide any clear reasons for her actions and seemed more focused on asserting control than assisting a potential new member.
I left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. I came in with an open mind and genuine interest in trying out the gym, but the way I was treated made me question whether I would want to join at all. The false accusations, refusal to redeem the guest pass, and conflicting information about pricing were unprofessional and unnecessary.
I hope corporate takes this seriously. A positive first impression is crucial for potential members, and unfortunately, this experience was anything but. I came in excited to try the gym, but I left feeling disrespected and dismissed. No one should be treated this way, especially by someone in a...

I arrived at the location at 6:11 PM. I had a situation I wanted to discuss, so I asked to speak with a manager. A female employee pointed toward a male employee and said, “You can take a seat.” I walked over to where she directed me, and she repeated, “You can take a seat.” I replied, “That’s fine—I prefer to stand.”
While I was waiting, a man came from the office and asked, “Can I help you?” I responded, “Are you a manager?” He said yes. I asked for his name, and he said it was Abraham. Shortly after, another male employee approached—I looked at his badge, and his name was Victor. Up until that point, Victor hadn’t acknowledged me—not even a simple, “I’ll be with you in a moment.” I found that to be very unprofessional.
I then asked Victor, “Who is in charge, you or Abraham?” He replied, “I am,” and gestured for Abraham to step aside. I found this dismissive. If Abraham is in a position of authority, why not allow him to handle the situation? Was he misrepresenting his role?
When I began explaining the issue, Victor asked, “What’s the problem?” As I attempted to take notes, he interrupted me by repeating the question—before I could even enter his name in my notepad. He seemed impatient and had an attitude from the start. I had observed him interacting with another family prior to me, and he was unprofessional with them as well. He carried that negative energy into our interaction.
I asked him how long he’d been a manager, as he appeared very young, and I wanted to ensure he was capable of handling the matter. His response was, “It doesn’t matter,” delivered in a condescending tone. When I asked for clarification, he repeated, “It doesn’t matter.” At that point, I told him, “That’s fine—I’ll take care of this another way,” and I left.
With so many qualified individuals seeking employment, I’m confident a better representative for 24 Hour Fitness can be found. As a long-term member, I’ve never experienced anything like this. Based on this interaction, I would not refer anyone to this location, nor would I feel comfortable recommending it to friends or family. I would rather pay more and go somewhere where professionalism and respect are prioritized. Now I see why there are comments about Managment. It makes absolute sense. I will definitely share my experience with...
