Raving Review: Coach Outlet – Gloucester Premium Outlets, New Jersey

My daughter and I had the delightful opportunity to visit the Coach Outlet located in Gloucester County, New Jersey, and I must say it was a truly memorable shopping experience. From the moment we stepped into the store, the atmosphere was warm, engaging, and uplifting.

A standout highlight of our visit was the exceptional leadership demonstrated by the manager on duty, Rachel. She was energetic, personable, and fully engaged with both her team and the guests. Her positive spirit was infectious, laughing with her employees, interacting with customers, and cultivating an environment that felt inviting and well aligned with Coach’s premium brand identity. It was abundantly clear that the positive culture in that store is intentional, and Rachel is at the heart of it.

While the overall ambiance was stellar, I must be honest in noting one area of opportunity for improvement. The cashier who checked us out was noticeably disengaged. Despite our efforts to engage in light conversation, her demeanor was cold and borderline discourteous. It was a stark contrast to the otherwise delightful energy in the store. I trust that Rachel, as the capable leader she appears to be, will recognize and address this. Staff who are not feeling well or are not in the right headspace to interact warmly with customers should be temporarily reassigned or given time to reset.

As a paying customer and full-time working mother, I’ve made a commitment to myself: I will no longer accept poor service or treatment. If I encounter that same cashier in the future and the behavior persists, I will politely request to be assisted by someone else. We all have off days, but customer experience is paramount and it’s okay to draw boundaries with grace.

That said, I absolutely intend to return to this location. The rest of the staff, the merchandise, and the inviting environment made it a truly pleasant experience. Rachel’s leadership shines, and I look forward to shopping there again soon.

Five stars for the store, the leadership, and the overall experience with hopeful room for consistent excellence across every touchpoint.

If you’re looking for a SAFE family oriented place look no further. We visited on Saturday 7/13/2024. We went into a couple different stores. My infant daughter needed to be changed so we went to the closest family bathroom. A male was in there for 30 minutes, knew we were waiting (my daughter is horrible when it comes to diaper changes, so having my significant other there it’s easier for us). We kept knocking and he wasn’t doing anything. An older male. We called security and they came super quick. Once security came the male exited and proceeded to yell and call us profound words. As a parent, I yelled back. But security handled it swiftly, quickly, and even had a report filed out in no less then 10 minutes. The security guard stayed there to make sure we were ok. To say having that level of extra precaution and trust is phenomenal for me in going out with my daughter. This was the first time I had an issue when I came here and they were on top of it, didn’t hesitate or even made us fee unwelcoming. Definitely love coming here and that proved my point. To the security guard who helped us. I praise you, and to the worker who answered the phone and had security come, thank you, for listening to my concern as a mother and making sure it was handled. Great out door shopping. Very clean and family friendly atmosphere. The shops I would not quite consider “outlets” some of the stuff is just as expensive as the “non-outlet” stores are. There are a few high end stores in there that offer some great deals once in awhile though. It is perfect for shopping with the family on a beautiful sunny day since it is mostly outside as you walk from store to store. There is ample amount of parking so that is never a problem. I have not checked out their food court options yet but I would like to in the near future. They have a few kiosks set up with snacks and other things available to purchase. Some of it has a roof like structure over head, so if it is raining there is a little bit of protection from it. I hope you visit and enjoy the shopping and the wonderful atmosphere as much as I did. It reminds me of malls out in California, just on the east coast instead! I was always hoping for a mall like the one I visited in San Diego and finally I have one ! Please take a trip to the outlets and have a nice time shopping with the family...
