Jeffrey Jewelry Co — Attraction in Golden Valley

Living in central iowa, I had plenty of nearby options for engagement ring settings and diamonds. Long story short I ended up driving 4 hours north to Golden Valley, Minnesota to visit Tom at Jeffrey Jewelry and I am SO happy that I did. I was blown away by how helpful, knowledgable, and sincere he was throughout the entire process. Keep in mind, in the months prior to visiting Jeffrey's I had visited numerous jewelers and NONE of them came close to the overall experience that I had with Tom. He was so helpful in fact that he offered to review the stats of the diamond options I had looked at in Iowa to tell me if the pricing was fair for the quality. He was willing to invest time helping and educating me even if I wasn't going to buy from them! I knew then and there that I wanted to go up and visit them in person, and the selection of oval diamonds that they brought in for me was phenomenal! One of the most satisfying and gratifying purchases I have ever made, all in part to how Jeffrey Jewelry does business. The quality, price, friendly staff, and customer service are truly unmatched. 6 STARS!!... I went to Jeffrey jewelry Wednesday, mistakenly thinking it was the store I messaged about repairing my wife's necklace that had once belonged to her grandmother. Tom examined it, quickly discovered it was gold plated Sterling silver and explained that welding it, as I mentioned wouldn't be good because it would melt off the gold plating. He took it in back the owner Jeffrey, who I had been watching work on another piece. They found a matching O-ring and offered to fix it immediately while I waited! (The other jeweler estimated a 2 business day turnaround.) Tom confided that the $25 repair cost was more than that of a new chain but due to the sentimental value I felt this was a very fair price. Jeffrey had it fixed in about 5 minutes and the brand new O-ring matched the color of the antique necklace perfectly! The fact that they make custom and high end jewelry and were so quick to help me for very little profit is an astounding testament to their customer service. I'm excited at the prospect of having them make some jewelry for me out of stones and seashells my wife and have collected...

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Jeffrey has been doing this for over 60 years and it shows! I don't know if there is anyone more knowledgable about jewelry. I took a custom ring in to have a stone set, and he was able to immediately recognize that I paid WAY too much for a Diamond Nexus stone. He even showed me side by side how it should looked. I was floored. He offered a better quality stone for so much less than what I originally paid Diamond Nexus. Additionally, he set and sautered my ring same day. Most places I called quoted me way more and it wouldn't have even been done before Christmas. Because I was able to make a return with Diamond Nexus, he SAVED me money with a better stone and the labor to set and sauter the ring. They gained a customer for life and I'd recommend them to anybody. I got so lucky finding them. Don't go anywhere else - this business and people like Jeffrey are one...
