Stopped here for some dinner and was surprised it was empty except for us. Now I know why.
The pros: the burger was tasty and large. The the home made pickles were spicy but added a nice kick to the flavor of the burger. We decided against the "dover" sauce.
The cons: we were the only people in the restaurant and while service was friendly it was very inattentive. A lot of giggling and chatter in the back and had to ask for the check and water after a long wait on each with no service being offered. -burger bun was SOGGY on arrival -we were charged 6 dollars for fries instead of kettle chips without notice of the ridiculous price difference. After some surpise and obviouse upset faces on our part however they did take off the charge. -kettle chips were stale 11 dollar grilled cheese was just a bland grilled cheese that wasn't anything special or extra.
Long story short for the price it is not worth it. It tries to mask itself as a finer dining establishment but falls very short...
Read moreBreakfast is not good. The continental is obl ly the fruit. If you grab eggs or bacon you get charged $6. Not expensive, but they don't have anything that lets you know the difference until they bring a bill. It's deceiving and not even worth the $6. I asked the waitress three times where is this stated ect. The answer was cold is free, and the rest is $6 while she pointed at my breakfast ticket that only said ordering food is $6. I didn't order. I got the food myself. Also, I've had better free breakfast at a cheaper hotels.
Eggs tasted like imitation eggs. Bacon was microwave tough. Very salty potatoes or tots. OJ looked like they just mixed it with water, bc Ive never seen clear spots in OJ. Only thing even okay way the sausage, but it wasn't really worth mentioning. I didn't dare eat dinner there. Just walk across the street. There's Caribou Coffee for b'fast, and plenty of choices for dinner. Sad place given this is inside a...
Read moreLaid back breakfast with a great ala carte menu on weekdays! The food was cooked to order and our drinks refilled in a timely manner.
On Saturday and Sunday mornings, breakfast is only available as buffet for $18/ person and includes beverages. The buffet selections consisted of scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, pancakes or French toast, fresh fruit, muffins, and other pastries. The bread selection to make your own toast was fabulous! The multi-grain bread does not taste like something from a store.
We did not get a chance to enjoy dinner at Dover, but the menu looked tasty. The bar is well stocked with a good variety of...
