Great Beer - Confusing disoriented ordering system Stopped by for dinner on 4/12/17 and upon walking in the door there is no hostess - a hand written sign on and I beam reads seat yourself order at counter. The food selection is mainly sandwiches and pizza, which is not bad. More of a lunch vibe than a dinner vibe but none the less we soldiered on and made our choices. Both got sandwiches and a beer. This is where it began to fall apart. Upon walking up to the very busy and full bar, they had one bartender tending bar and taking orders. The problem is where do you go to put in your order? So we politely stood at the end of the bar and waited.... and waited....and waited until she finally came over and took our order. We returned to our table and she immediately came out and asked us to sign our credit card receipt. Now what do I do if I want to order more food or another beer? Charge my credit card again? Someone should rethink the whole ordering, self serve system in my humble opinion and it will be a great place. Hope they make...
Read moreCame here for the first time today and it was amazing! My fiancé and I ordered the Honey Sriracha wings with Spicy Ranch, Honeybear Pizza, Rocking Ruben, and the Waynesborough. Wings were breaded and fried with a good amount of sauce, making them saucy and crispy. Both sandwiches were delicious and thick, not thin. We did have to ask for our bread to be toasted. The pizza was delicious as well. It was empty when we came so we sat at the bar. The bar tender was checking in on us frequently to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Our sandwiches came with chips and we were missing the chips. The menu consists of a lot of finger foods. My fiancé order the Bull City Ciderworks and Blake’s Hard Cider Salted Caramel Apple. The Bull City Ciderworks is his new favorite. They also allow you to taste their beer on tap prior to ordering a whole beer. We will be coming back, this visit did...
Read moreI travel generally a different city every week and love checking out local spots. I was recommended by the hotel staff. Really cool typical NC hipster craft beer feel. Decent menus great prices and food was fantastic. The reason for 3 stars is it’s definitely intended to be a local only place. It’s basically serve yourself, which is cool. However being new you are kinda just left to figure it out. Thank goodness for a awesome crowd willing to show the way. For example they have a huge selection of bottled beer. I asked the “bartender” if they had a menu and the answer I got was a plain no..... being from out of town I was hoping to find one of my favorites. Tremendous potential and a fun spot, if they could add some customer service this would be a must stop for all. Luckily I’m easy going a like to fit in to the local culture, though I could imagine other travelers uneasy...
