My mower deck height motor broke so I ordered a replacement from the internet. The mower’s parts manual directed me to the motor model I bought and removing a deck from a "Simplicity" is easy peasy (1 step process) as I've had three in my lifetime. However, I wasn’t able to get the motor to lift the deck and after many hours I decided to call the “so called experts” to come get my mower.
The services I requested were: • Correct issue with deck height adjustment motor👎 • Change fuel filter👍 • Change hydrostatic drive oil👎 • Replace fuel tank fuel gauge👍
Farm Services picked up my mower on Feb 22,2024 as I don’t have a trailer. I didn’t receive a phone call from technician until 2 weeks later. During the above conversation, the technician stated the deck motor that I had installed was the wrong one and that he needed to order the correct one. I approved the order and the added cost of the part @ 140.00 One week later the technician called me and said the motor he ordered happened to be the exact same motor I had ordered and that he would need to call tech support. He also requested I bring him the original “old” motor so I did. The next day (due to some incompetence vibes I was getting from tech) I searched the internet for another motor and called the tech and told him I had another motor I wanted to try. Two days later, I delivered the motor but the tech was at lunch. His hours are 830am and lunch 11 to 12:30 I was told. Since it was close to his time to return, I stood on dock and waited. I began to scan for my mower and wasn’t able to find it, I looked and looked and finally saw my name on a ribbon attached to nothing but sheer disgust. My mower had been sitting outside on a ramp at the uncovered dock and was absolutely filthy, with a 80% flat front tire. I was amazed and baffled how it got so nasty. It looked 50 yrs. old! As I stood next to the dock, I watched an employee blow the dock off and it all made sense now as to how my mower got so nasty. My mower’s disgusting looks was a result of weeks of the aforementioned. My mower has never been rained on, gets washed after every use and even waxed on occasion so this was VERY disturbing to see. I thought how careless could a company be with a customer’s property. My mower looked like it was in a junk yard. I finally saw the technician return, gave him the motor, we compared it to the original one and learned that it too was not going to fit. Long story short and after 5 weeks 2 days of BS, calls and false promises, false return calls and for my grave concern of my mower, I asked for them to simply bring my mower to my house and that I’d somehow fix it myself. They delivered it on 5-26-24 with an 80% flat tire and dirty like a bomb hit it and still broken as I expected. Oh, they changed the fuel filter alright, I had to pressure wash my mower and driveway to get the gas off as it was everywhere.
Beware! If you value your mower/property, take it elsewhere!
Negatives: Huge incompetence vibes Total disrespect to customers property (dent in front bumper!) Total time at their shop: 5 weeks, 2 days (insane!) Total trips for me to their shop: 3 + (1 voluntary due to tech ordered wrong part as well) Total time to pressure wash my mower and driveway: 2hrs
Positives: The upfront counter ladies are great, the Stihl selection is great, the manager seems to care, just don't suggest taking your mower there as the service department is worst Ive seen in my life which is reason I asked to get mower back without being total fixed because it wasn't ever going to be fixed and would've rotted in that environment.
Update: 3-28-24, the technician called my cell and left a voice mail telling me where I can stick...
Read moreRon is the manager of this store and has personally helped me with a few issues on our property and equipment we own over the past 4 years we have lived here. This man is a true asset to this company. They are blessed to have him work for them. He just helped me decide what zero turn mower would be the best for me and what units are the best. Being a disabled senior, I need my equipment to work for me, not have me working on it all the time. He assured me the one I was buying was of the highest quality, and if for some reason something did go wrong with it, he promised he would get the issue resolved to my satisfaction. What more can one ask of anyone? I say nothing. In the past 4 years, he has always been polite, kind, and truly helpful each time I bring a need or issue to him looking for help. Everyone there is very friendly and looking to help the customers that walk through their door. I'm sure that has a lot to do with their manager. When I go speak to Ron about things in this store, though we never meet up anywhere else, I feel like I'm speaking to my good friend. Thank you Ron for caring so much about my needs. I greatly look forward to my new Zero Turn mower being ready to...
Read moreI called yesterday to inquire about a zeroturn mower. I wanted to know if it was instock before I drove there. Guy on the phone said yes the mower was in stock, I told him I would head that way. He said to talk to Ryan when I got there. So I hooked up my trailer and drove the 40 minutes to the store, I arrived about 50 minutes before closing time. I ask for Ryan and he got up from his chair and took me out to show me the mowers. Price was a little higher than what I had been quoted elsewhere as I had been shopping around. So I inquired about the price and that I had cash. Ryan said he could not make that decision and said only his manager could. I ask him to ask his manager and he said he had recently left for the day. So I ask if he would call him to see what price he could sell it for and he declined to call and ask this simple question. It's amazing that a place that sells anything would not put one once of effort into making a $7000 cash sale. So God forbid you trouble them during business hours by asking them to price you something. So I will not waste my time with this company ever again and I'll spend my...
