My experience with Grand Isle was very poor. Their pricing was more than double of what North Shore Marina was for the remaining month and a half of the season. They also base their pricing on the make and model of the vessel, not the length and width. I cannot confirm that this means the more expensive boats will have a more expensive slip, but it seems very odd to me. The girls on the phone seem very friendly, but have no authority to make any decisions when pricing long term dockage. Because of this they are the middle man to the General Manager, who does not seem to have time to call anyone back or for that matter want to pick up the phone and talk to a potential customer if one were to call. After waiting for him to call me back twice and never recieving a call back, I finally got a hold of him when we were about an hour out from port while delivering a brand new boat for my dad. He told me it was not the "name your price show" when I offered to pay $1200 for the 55 nights of the remaining season. He then proceeded to tell me that he did not want our business and then hung up on me. I certainly can understand the frustration that he may have had by having a customer call and want to talk to him multiple times, however if he had taken the time to have a conversation the first time I called rather than push his work off on a secretary, my experience surely would have been more pleasant. Read moreI've had my boat here for a couple seasons now. Location is great, obviously. Customer service is quite poor, I find them to be rude. Very little communication to slip renters.
This year they reminded all slip owners payment was due on March 2nd. March 3rd they announced the pool/bathrooms/laundry would not be done in time for season open and they had no idea when it would be ready. Zero communication since. Today I called and was rudely told maybe July 4?

But I'd like to shout out Diana and her team in the service department! They are always on top of troubleshooting and repairs! Diana is always responsive and detailed when communicating and I really appreciate that. The service techs are great and I have had no issues with the repairs.
