Natural Grocers — Attraction in Grand Junction

Truly a great experience I’ve had today. The people who are employed here are truly great people and incredibly helpful. I’d like to name Jinno, this man is truly a diamond in the rough and is by far the greatest and most helpful employee I’ve ever interacted with EVER. I came in not knowing any of the vitamins I was looking for but just a few names. He not only took the time to help me find the best vitamin or combination of vitamins but also at the best value. He truly did care and that’s something that’s special. You can tell when you’re in an outlet and the kid who’s working there just wants to go home versus someone who wants to be there and help. It’s truly profound how much one experience with a truly great employee has made my day. Truly from my heart Jinno thank you for a great experience and if the manager is reading this please give this man a promotion. He is truly 5 star material and I know so many businesses across the valley would kill for such a great employee. I love Natural Grocers stores in general ~ except for their stingy membership program and constant barrage of emails if you want to participate. But I have to say that the Natural Grocers store in Grand Junction is a disappointment. First, why is it so small in this rapidly growing area?! The store in Montrose is much, much larger and nicer, as is the store in Glenwood Springs. Because GJ's store is so small our selection is very limited. Second, there are a few really, really nice / helpful employees but they stand out because several of the staff are particularly gruff. There are a couple cashiers, for instance, that we simply will not go to. And I've had a few negative interactions with long-term employees about 1) getting a "raincheck" when sale items are out of stock; NO, they don't do that; 2) getting help with a defective product; and 3) asking whether a certain item might be added to their product line. Turns out I'm not alone: I've spoken with three other GJ residents who feel it's an "unfriendly" store that needs enlarging as well as better...

My family and I stopped in a few nights ago for some supplements recommended by my sports therapist. All staff was very friendly, we were helped by a women (I think her name was Cheryl) she was amazing! She was so helpful, the most helpful and knowledgeable associate I have ever met! We were looking for magnesium and muscle spasm supplements and she knew exactly what to recommend, and not only recommend but knew the entire science behind the supplements she was recommending. I could have listened to her talk all night she was so knowledgeable about what she was doing! Not only did she help with her knowledge, she was about to clock out for the night and still went out of her way to help us find the last supplement we were looking for.
