Zales — Local services in Grand Junction

Been a loyal customer of Zales for years. After spending over 10k in purchases and being a Diamond Card holder for the past years, today they lost my business forever. I entered the store to pick out a diamond bracelet my lady wanted for her birthday. Being on a 2k budget after Christmas, I find one on sale. In the show case and advertised with a red label with the reduced price on it. After selecting the bracelet with my desire to purchase it, the representative helping me went to process my desired purchase with the bracelet. After she needed assistance from what I would call a merge of hens around her at the register for consultation, she came back and told me the bracelet was no longer being sold at that price and it would increase the cost of the bracelet price 30% more than what it was being presented as and advertised in the show case for. Never honoring the obvious advertised price. Then the representative started removing red tags from other items in the show case saying that they were supposed to be removed and no longer at the price as advertised. Hummmm. I expressed my displeasure and walked away. I just went to Kay jewelers, bought my lady a 3k bracelet for her birthday with a smile, thinking I'll spend my money else where and pay full price before ever going to Zales again. I feel so bad for Mountain Time repair, since they have to pick up the slack of Zales. I was gifted a watch for Christmas and went to Zales cause that is where I found it with my boyfriend.

I asked them to set the correct time and dates and they didn't know how. it's a watch they CARRY!!!! I was told to look up the manual online and they "can't learn about every watch they carry." I was even more shocked that they had 4 employees chating and not busy with anyone else. Would have been a great opportunity to learn and keep a customer.

I was not going to post a review until I had my watch fixed somewhere else and the gentleman expressed his frustration that it happenes all the time.

I give 2 stars since they fixed the link size. I was too embarressed to have them add a link after they removed some since they seemed annoyed to do so.

Terrible customer service! I’ve been doing business with Zales for 30 years. I went to this store a few days before Christmas 2022 to spend over $6000.00, Paid $300 cash for one purchase and wanted to finance another purchase. The manager ran my credit and loudly said I was turned down! My credit score is 813. She said the credit company would send me a letter telling me why. So I went to Kay jewelry and was approved I 2 minutes after they verified who I was. After the new year I got a letter from Comenity Capital Bank. I called them and they said all they want was to verify who I was and that I approved the day I was there, all the manager needed to do was hand me the phone just like the salesperson at Kay jewelry did.
