I have visited this delightful little marketplace a few times and love it. It is open every other Saturday. Be prepared to get offered samples from the food vendors. There are a diverse assortment of items to choose from amongst the many vendors - from arts & crafts to clothing to jewelry, and much more. You won't be disappointed. Stop by the leather craft table and ask for Paul (that's me). Update: April 6, 2024 Mayor's 5K Run coincided with our first day of the new year, so there was more foot traffic than I've ever seen there. Personally, I had my best day ever as a leather craft vendor. This is my first season and I'll be there every Saturday through the end of the year. Update: May 18, 2024 The weather has been cooperating and the public has been in attendance. Making friends, have repeat customers, and even a great referral project from a satisfied client. Update: November 15, 2025 Several months ago I had to stop attending the Farmers Market because it became too difficult physically. I stopped by today to drop off my donation for the annual Sock Drive. Don't worry, they accept more than socks as long as the items are new. I picked up a bunch of great deals on t-shirts and shorts at Walmart. If you're nearby you can bring your donation any Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. tell Ray and Scotty that Paul the leather...
Read moreAll the vendors were nice except for one. The couple that sells the vegetables. 2nd time coming and on both occasions neither one spoke or acknowledged me. The first time I was the only person standing there and had to ask for some okra. The second time he looked at me and told the young man with them to see what I needed. (which the young man was nice). But I noticed when someone else of a different race walked up, the older man immediately went over greeting and speaking to them. The young man had to ask the older man how much to charge and he told him. The price was higher for me. And the reason I know this is because I asked my neighbor, which is a different race what she was charged when she bought the same item and she said a lesser amount than what I paid. Not good...
Read moreI went to this market for the first time today. The young man w/ blonde hair at the produce table was finishing up with a customer and I was the only other person waiting. He never acknowledged me or said hi, he looked at me and proceeded to greet and assist other customers that began walking up. I said, “Hi, good morning! Do you guys accept debit?” It was only then that he finally said anything to me, and proceeded to pass me off to the other guy working with him so he could go back to helping the people that came after me. Very disappointed because the produce looked pretty good and I was looking forward to buying some fresh okra and fruit. I didn’t even stay to go by any...
