Goei Center — Attraction in Grand Rapids

The Goei Center was the first and only wedding venue we looked at before deciding that it was the perfect place for us to get married and host our wedding reception. Lindsay was absolutely amazing right from the beginning! She was prompt to answer all of our questions, no matter the time or day; she made sure we were completely prepared for our wedding day; and she was even there on the day of to make sure the ceremony ran smoothly as well as the reception. We had one mix up with our cake vendor and she even went out of her way to take care of that for us with no issues! She communicated with all of our vendors throughout the process, helping to make everything run so smoothly and without stress. We really appreciate all of your help Lindsay! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator to work with! I have to mention Blake as well, because he was equally as awesome! He took over for Lindsay on the night of our wedding, and made sure everything went smoothly from there. Thank you so much, Blake! As for the venue itself, it was beautiful! We received countless compliments from our guests on how amazing and unique the Goei Center was. The set-up of the venue from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception dinner, was all laid out so perfectly. It was a flawless spot for our New Year's Eve wedding! The Goei Center also hosted our bar. Jane worked with me on the menu and other bar related details, and she was great! All of the bartenders were amazing as well, and Cory especially, was exceptional! My guests loved him! Thank you so much to all of the staff at the Goei Center! We rented The Kindel Room for our wedding ceremony and reception on 9/23/23 and working with Goei Center staff (specifically Katie and Kylie) was an absolute DREAM! Throughout the entire year and a half prior to the wedding, Katie and Kylie were incredibly quick to respond to every single one of my emails. Every response was thorough and they were SO kind, even when I had a million questions and my emails were like novels. They were very organized and professional, and made sure to think of/ask about everything I could possibly need to consider. When the big day finally rolled around, everything went PERFECTLY which I definitely attribute to the Goei Center staff being so well trained and prepared. Not to mention, when the ceremony and reception space was all set up with my personal touches plus the additional add-ons from Kindel Room (string lights, uplights, gorgeous wood guest chairs, farm head table, greenery on the chandeliers).....the whole space looked STUNNING!! The natural wood floors, exposed beams, chandeliers, and openness was exactly the vibe we were going for and we got TONS of compliments on how beautiful the space was. We plan on recommending Kindel Room/Goei Center to anyone and everyone, and if we are ever in need of an event space again in the future we will definitely...

For starters beautiful venue. Has more then one venue in the building. Got to experience the back venue for a wedding. Was set up very nicely when walking in. Had a rustic barn kind of setting with white sheets separating the seating and eatting area. The bathrooms were clean and offered a basket of mints, tampons, eye drops and other stuff that maybe needed. The bartenders were very nice but the list of stuff was very small ask for a margarita list stated tequila and sour mix so ask if they could make a margarita. Bartender had to ask the other Bartender how to make it and then Google it. Still tasted good and was very nice. Parking lot was not very big so if you do have the chance get there a little early. The venue has its own security....this is the problem that makes me not want to give more stars..... the security person was very rude....I will say this as I know some people may think this, we are a calm set of people and no one was heavily drunk.... but when walking outside to smoke the security person was very rude. Which kinda killed the whole wedding happy vibe. Which if I were to get married of have an event that is the biggest reason I wouldn't choice this place. I wouldn't want the security to be why people...
