I am very disappointed in Adobe and it's owner, I stopped in the restaurant parking lot on Fulton Tuesday to walk down to Grand Valley and register my son. I was literally gone 20 if not 30 minutes at the most as we were just picking up a paper they had printed off for him. Upon returning to Adobe I noticed my vehicle gone, went into the restaurant and the staff who was very unapologetic said the owner had it towed because you weren't a customer. I can halfway understand that but I still felt really upset because one I'm actually a regular customer at both the Fulton location as well as the Grandville Location. I order the same thing Every time and I'm known by the evening shifts, not only that my business is a frequent patron of this business. Upon speaking with the rep at Merls towing he told me that Adobe does that to keep the college kids from parking in the lot all day taking up spaces for paying customers! ( Adobe however has a very big lot) I however took note of that and when the office manager called me the next day he said the same, that they crackdown every yr around this time and around lunch time to keep the college student from using the lot. So I expressed how upsetting that was being that these kids are what most likely frequents his restaurant as well and that they were just kids who probably are on a limited income as it is and couldn't afford their vehicles being towed. ( & imagine my surprise when I come to the website and the first thing I see advertised is a great bite to eat for college students) So as I questioned him on this news he let me know the owner Jeff was just walking in. I asked Jeff the same question and he gave me the same reply about the college students. So just as I said to his office manager I also said to him, "It would seem to me that you would be for these kids trying to get an education and not trying to create a hardship about towing their vehicles?" At that time he did change and say it wasn't only for the college students but that was after I questioned his original response. All in all Adobe has great food that I've loved for over two yrs however I will not be back. I've also had my credit card company send me statements just from the last 6 months so that I can forward them to Jeff and show him how good of a customer he's losing. I paid $187 to get my vehicle back out of tow but he'll lose far more in just my business and that's okay with me. It's sad I'm sure these college students don't have that type of money to get their vehicles back! I can understand Jeff not wanting people who are not eating at his establishment to just use his lot even though it's big enough and I've never seen it full where others cars would be blocking service however that's his choice but to particularly single out these college students is horrible. I did record the conversation between his manager and I and also him as well and I have requested a meeting with a few of my affiliates at Grand Valley to let them listen and also make the young adults aware that they are being targeted and this business is not college student friendly or supportive even though you come to the website and their the first inclusive advertising sentence....
Read moreStopped in for what I thought would be a quick lunch grab. 1 taco, a drink and a chips and queso. First I waited 3-4 minutes before anyone noticed me waiting to order. Most of the staff were standing around either on their phone or talking. Then it took the kitchen staff 6 minutes to prepare my food while the order taker waited at the pass. And the other 5 staff I could see continued standing around doing nothing. The food wasn't good either. The taco barely has any meat or toppings. I get more at Taco Bell and they're awful. And I love queso but this was just meh. So they stay at 1* because you can't go negative. I'm done giving them chances. If I'm feeling tacos or burrito I'll make the drive to Quicktime Burritos.
I saw that they joined Doordash so I considered giving them a try again. But when I saw the prices I said Nope. Beef burrito $8.50 on Doordash $11.30. They ALREADY charge TO MUCH for the tiny bit of meat and cheese you get inside and they want MORE if you order it for delivery? And don't give me the Doordash charges them. Because I eat at Mom and Pop restaurants ALL the time and they don't mark up stuff 30-40%
I'm starting to lose desire for Adobe. In 35 years of coming here I have always enjoyed the food. But the prices keep going up and the portions keep going down.
Update 8-2: This will be my final trip here after over 35 years of patronage. As shown in the picture my 8$ Full beef burrito was 90% Lettuce 8% meat and 1% cheese. And when I showed the employee I was told that everything was precisely laid out by management. I get more meat in a 2$ Taco bell burrito. From now on I'll be patronizing Taco Boy for my big burrito fix. Especially since there I don't have to pay extra for onions or sauce. Was a good run while it...
Read moreAte there for lunch on 05-10-2018. Ate indoors, ordered a beef wet burrito dinner, which included rice and beans. I felt that for an essentially fast food restaurant the the food was very good. The burrito sauce was very good and I felt that their salsa was excellent, with the right amount of heat. The rice was spicy and flavorful which made it way above average. The beans came out steaming hot and remained hot for quite a while. They do not have a self-service beverage machine, although I was able to get a free refill at the counter. I'll give them a minor point deduction for that, and to be clear, it is my personal preference to have a self-service beverage machine as I find that I drink more than the average person during the course of a meal. I'll also give them a minor point deduction for waiting on our order to be completed, i.e. we had two identical orders and waited at the counter for several minutes for the second order of beans and rice. If I could, I would give them a 4.5. Free parking spaces were available on their adjoining parking lot. I don't recall them having free WiFi, which is unacceptable in this day and age. That being said, I would...
