Lovely greeting when I came in the door. When I arrived for my appointment, there was a bridal party in the pedicure area & I was asked to wash my hands & it would be a little bit. I sat at the waiting area and then brought to a chair where I waited 20 minutes. l was helped by the same person who had been waiting by the front desk, I believe because they had taken on the bridal party even with waiting appointments already in place; another woman tired of waiting rescheduled for the next day. The person who helped to take off the dip on my nails after me telling them the dip was on my real nails, took a tip extender to take off one of the dip nails that had started to lift(this was from the previous time of being at this same nail salon)…I told them that the nail would not come separate like that because it was on my real nail. There must have been a misunderstanding because I told him again that I am against taking it off that way, but he proceeded to rip my nail off. He looked at my hand confused and told me he thought I had a tip on. I said to him I had just warned him that was my real nail. I feel like this is something he had to have heard before, & I was disappointed that all he did after that is put glue on it and walk away. He then had someone else help me 10 min later; where the technician asked me to move to her area. Overall this next technician did very nice job. I let her know that I wanted the dip with designs on my real nails. She cut one of my nails after me asking if we were unable to use my nails, and told me she cut it because it was weak and would have broken, I said okay and she put extensions on 4 of my nails. The one because the nails integrity was gone after the prior person had separated my nail from the dip, and that glue he used did nothing to repair that. The design and shape are beautiful, but the flowers she did on one nail had too much polish and opened up this next day. I’ll add a picture of it. Overall it looked good but after all that, I was disappointed it was a lot of waiting, some pain, and a mishap with the overall results. This nail set with 4 extensions(I was only charged for 3) plus tip...
Read moreI originally loved this salon. My nails looked great the 1st time. The second time, they were ok. The nail tech was rushed (I'm assuming bc of the bachelorette party that came in)and cut 2 of my fingers with the nail filing tool, enough to make me bleed and have pain for a couple days. My nails were bumpy and not even filed nicely or cleaned up underneath my nails, my cuticles we're torn up. When i went in for a 3rd fill, I had a idea of what I wanted. I did have two broken nails that had to be fixed, so I wasn't worried about paying for those. I asked for a design, showed her my idea and she said "yes" when I asked for the price it was $72. I ended up going for a simpler design. (As you can see below). When all said and done I was still charged $62 for my refill and design. They don't inform you that they charge for nail shaping, didn't ask me if I wanted shellac, the two nails I had to get fixed are crooked($5 a piece which I was fine with) and the design (again I asked for a design). After I was done with my nails she didn't add any cuticle oil or hand lotion and rushed me out. What amazed me was the $10 difference of the 2 nail designs. The black nails are what was done, black nails with a simple line design, $62. The pink nails is what I originally wanted and I would have been charged $72. How is this a $10 difference? I paid I think $15 for the design. The lines on the black nails aren't even well painted. She did one layer and was done. I understand charging for all the services, but it should be at least told prior to the nail appointment or while nails are getting done. Things like shaping of nails or shellac. It's a good location for downtown people or someone looking for a well done nails by certain artists. Pricing is not cool. I'm still trying to figure out how I paid $62 for basic nails? I also was honestly kinda bummed out to see messy work areas, and lack of nail tool cleanliness. Such a bummer. Won't be returning, but hope for the...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer since 2015 back when they only had one location on the south side of town, and I’d happily make the drive just to get my nails done right. Fast forward to 2025, and they’ve expanded to Wyoming, Jenison, downtown Grand Rapids, and now opening a new location at Knapp’s Corner. That kind of growth speaks volumes about the impact they’ve made on the community!
Every visit reminds me why I keep coming back: endless color options, a clean and welcoming environment, and nail techs who truly care. Front desk staff always remembered my name, which may seem small but it’s those personal touches that really set them apart.
For the past four years, I’ve been going to the downtown location and Angel is my girl. She always nails the shape and takes her time to make sure everything is perfect, while also keeping the conversation light and fun, love her. When Angel isn’t available, I’ve also seen Katie/Lilly both are incredibly talented with vibrant, bubbly personalities. I also bring my daughter here, and they’re so gentle and sweet with her tiny nails. They truly have a gift when it comes to little kids!
Yesterday, I had a pedicure with Nick & wow. I usually don’t book with a male tech, but he completely changed the game for me. I came in just looking to relax and match my current nail color, and he immediately found the perfect match without me having to sift through endless options. He was detailed, calm, and his massage skills were top-tier. You can tell he understands the pressure points that actually make a difference.
