Alright. This park has the best swimming water for just dilly dally splashing around. You can float from the start of this park, to the end of Riverside Park just on your back. Boats and ski-do come by quick so look out. This park has a lot of sand compared to others and is great for little kids earlier in the day. As the day progresses, more and more interesting characters gather in the park. Well before night fall, you will want to be gone or you start worrying for your safety. DOGS: love this area, but beware for dogs that are aggressive to other dogs but aren't leashed. Other times your friendly dog can be off leash with a bunch of other friendly dogs and that gets super fun. FISHING: I have seen people attempt this spot hundreds of times. I don't recommend it. No one I have seen has ever left with more than their own empty beer cans. This is a much better family swim spot than fishing. You can see small fish jump here and there. Also has restrooms open...
Read moreBaker Park was clean with a few individual bathroom stalls with working facilities, there were some tents strewn about but nothing illegal going on our in the open and no trash or anything that made the visit unpleasant in anyway. The river was full and moving fast, please do not try and swim in this river you most likely cannot swim well enough to to overcome the strength of the current, and if you get pinned against a rock or debris the force of the water will not allow even the strongest of humans an opportunity to get unstuck. Feral cats around, I know their feral because there's a box in the bushes the literally said feral cats live here so not take their home(referring to the box). 4/5 because of the...
