A Practical Stop at Home Depot, Grants Pass The Home Depot at 111 NE Mill St in Grants Pass has its quirks, but it remains a reliable spot for my DIY needs. The store has a reputation for being a bit hit or miss when it comes to stock levels, which seems to stem from its popularity in the area. It's often the first port of call for many locals, leading to shelves getting picked over faster than they can be restocked. I've had instances where I had to visit local hardware stores due to certain items being out of stock. However, most of the time, I find what I'm looking for. This trip was one of the better ones, with a successful quick grab-and-go of all my needed items. Cleanliness can be a bit of a secondary thought here, but let's be real—it's a hardware store, not a five-star hotel. You come here for tools and materials, not ambiance. For the essentials and a bit of a treasure hunt, Home Depot in Grants Pass has you covered.

Just visiting from out of state. I had a conversation today about how nice the people are here in Oregon then I came to Home Depot... I had 2 awesome experiences with the guy from Electrical and the cashier. I really didn't expect the answer I got from Dan in plumbing! After going down the electrical socket isle, I ventured over to plumbing and asked if he knew where the exterior electrical covers were, I find them in the sprinkler isle in my local HD and in electrical... However Dan was quick and sharp it's not my department!!? Ok no problem I'll go to Diamond! All he has to say is no I don't know where they are at... I would have found another associate..which happened and I didn't catch his name, but the guy in electrical walked me here, then I asked about a sky light in stock .. and he walked me right to the shelf... He didn't have to do that, but he did even after I said the general area is fine...

I have been a Home Depot customer for decades and have had a positive experience with them up to now. I submitted an on-line order for lumber and paid the $79.00 delivery charge. Some of the pieces were seriously bowed and totally unusable. When I called the service desk, I was informed that I would have to make the 70 mile trip to exchange them. I am surprised that this lumber was even loaded for delivery. I can only surmise that making the shareholders a few extra dollars takes precedent over providing quality merchandise and customer satisfaction. It looks like I will be taking a look at what Lowe's can do for my future business.

A most recent story concerning myself and Home Depot. I requested a special order for some tiles, the associate puts it in as a store stock order , when I go to inquire about the order I was then told it was a store stock order not a special order and that they would be in the store within a week. I asked if I make a special order how long would it take for them to arrive, I was then told it could take an additional two to three more weeks. I then asked when will these present tiles arrive and I was told within a week. I waited the week and came back to the store Home Depot and inquired how about the tiles that were ordered for me, I was then told that they would be another week before arriving, I waited my week came back to Home Depot again and again was told it would take another week. at this point approximately 4 weeks have passed since the order started. at this time I got with a store manager at Home Depot he looked them up on the system Windows computer and stated that there were enough for my project in Roseburg he said he would make sure these were shipped to the store and would give me a call to give him two to three days for this to be completed. I waited my two to three days showed up at Home Depot about 4 days later and was informed that the order had never been placed the Roseburg still had the tiles I need it and they receive new order. the manager at this time different person wall sanding there with me play some special order for the tiles to come in from Roseburg some sort of courier Thai delivery. I was told these would be in within a week so I came back the following Monday I wish I was told they had not been shipped yet. I said I need to speak to the same manager and he personally gave him a call so the tiles will be down by Monday. time is passing is now six weeks. the tiles did not arrive on Monday as stated I was told at that time it would be another week. on Tuesday I was called and I was told that the tiles had arrived 40 of them and they were all broken. I showed up in the store three days later after having a conversation what's the associate stating I need these tiles yesterday she told me she would do the best she could. well when I showed up at the store they still do not have my tiles add to order desk I went back to the rack or the tiles were normally displayed and here are 40 of them Auburn 17 of them we're broken shultzy's broken tiles actually show up why did they not at least tell me that there were seventeen and good ones I could use instead of saying they were all broken. I got with the same manager I am tempted to give his name and he gave me nothing but excuses about the system and did not know that they had arrived or the situation or information that was explained to me about broken tiles. Overall the process took approximately 2 months. I do prefer Home Depot over Lowe's but lately the customer service at Home Depot has gotten so appalling that there needs to be a third option coming into the area so people you know I have to keep putting up with the local big box lumber yard or home improvement stores. if you're really want good service go to Fields Ace hardware near Murphy it's...

I had walked around the store for a bit loading my cart up with some things that needed replacing around my home. The last item on my list was a sturdy pair of gloves so I left my cart right by the door in the store by the garden section to find the gloves. Considering the rain we've been having recently I didn't want anything to get wet and I've done this many times before. When I returned, after a helpful employee directed me to some nice gloves, I noticed that my cart was gone. I asked a nearby employee if they knew what happened to it and they were at a loss as well. Another employee returned and notified me that my cart was at the front of the store. I thought they must be on top of their game since I had left the cart unattended for approximately 3-4 minutes. This is where things start to feel funky. The employee asks me how much shopping I have left to do and if I would like another cart to continue. I didn't but the question struck me a bit odd. When we got to the front the employee, who I presume took the cart, quickly departed after giving the cart to the employee at the front by the self checkout. They, pretty obviously, did not want me to scan my own items. I asked them if they do this often and they said sometimes. The emplyees passing by and a few of the other customers were all staring at me as my items were being scanned and it dawned on me that they were doing all this because they thought I may be stealing. The total came to about 1100 dollars, without the protection plans because who buys those, and I paid. The part that really irks me with this whole situation was the preemptive steps they took to make sure that I wasn't stealing when I had done nothing to warrant it besides not taking the cart outside with me where it would presumably be easier to steal. I don't really care if this is a store policy or not. If they were that concerned that I might have stolen from the store they should have just given me my cart to scan and kept an eye on me through the multitude of cameras and employees they had at the front. Being segregated from the rest of the customers and not being allowed to scan my own items is degrading especially when I haven't done anything to warrant such treatment. Lastly, 1100 dollars is not very much in merchandise and I've spent much more in one go at Lowes without receiving such...

All I was trying to do was buy a dryer vent hose. It was the last one in the box with no bar code which never mattered before cuz the associate would just look it up in the computer. The associate I had was very unprofessional her name was DIANA when I brought it up she said she couldn't wring it up because there was no bar code and she said I needed to go back to where I got it and bring up the box it was in or take a picture of the bar code with my phone I told her my phone was dead and other associates would just look it up then she said she was going to try to call someone to get the bar code after she got a hold of someone she came back over to tell me that next time if I don't want to wait I should make sure there is a bar code when they ended up getting the price it was not the price I saw when I got the hose out of the container it was so frustrating all I have been having is bad experiences at this store I have given this store so many chances we recently ordered a washer and dryer they ended up ordering two dryers they got that worked out after a week then it was suppose to come to our house the following week it never came so we would call they told us they would call us back and never would which was three times two weeks later when it finally came to the store it was damaged so we had to wait for anot her on which came at the end of the week and then finally delivered the following week home depo said they would pay for the insulation which I thought ment I would be able to use it but no all the did was stack it and leave nothing was installed I can't belive they didn't even give us a discount for the mess we went threw I am so disappointed with this store. Home Depo needs to clean house and get rid of the associates that have no...
