Trust worthy shop, good work. I have had 2 experiences, 1st I suspected a dead motherboard, brought it to the shop, confirmed it was a dead mobo, no repair eligible, 150$. Second experience called talked to, came to drop off waited 30 minutes for a old lady to finish, ended up leaving after 30 minutes. I work it I.T. also. I work a helpdesk, keyboard and mice issues, all the way to networking and servers, I just don't work in the repairing hardware side.
Absolutely cannot let a old, ask you the same question over and over and over again while missing out on new business. Today it costed you 150$ and all future business. I want to be able to drop something off, and come back and pick it up. I'm bringing it too you to save time at the cost of money. If your wasting my time it's 43.00$ an hour, and also defeating the purpose of bringing it too you, to save my own time.
Either get a new location where you can step out for 2 seconds and accept a PC to work on later, or lose money. It's ridiculous nobody can drop stuff off and give you money because your sitting around explaining stuff to someone who will never grasp it. Honestly, if I were there to pick up and someone was dropping something off, I would say take care of them real quick we can finish, it's rude and disrespectful to others time.
Adventure in gaming always did this, I used to exclusively go there before he moved away closing his business in the process. He always said 1 second please, accepted the new equipment wrote down the phone number and called them back, or gave them the option....
Read moreThe owner was extremely helpful and knew what he was doing. Our gaming laptop suddenly started making a loud whining noise and sounded like a helicopter taking off. We thought it was either the fan or the hard drive. In the end, we brought it in to Gizmo Tech because of the reviews and five star rating. Even though they were about to close in a hour, the owner helped us by checking out the laptop. He inspected the fans and found that one was causing the noise. The options were to get it cleaned out and see or it would need a fan replacement. But our problem was the gaming laptop was my friend who was visiting from Southern California and the part wouldn't come in time. The owner was willing to get the fan part faster and even tried to find someone who'd ship it sooner. If it came down to it, the owner actually had a shop down in California too where my friend could take the laptop and finish getting it repaired.
We decided to see if a cleaning out the fans would help solve the problem. So, we left the computer with them and in a couple hours, even though the shop was closed, the owner texted us saying he'd already cleaned out the fans and even applied fresh thermal paste. It was running great too. Had multiple, heavy resource games running at once and it didn't make a sound. The owner definitely went above and beyond what we expected. He treated our laptop very well. If we have any other computer or console issue, we would...
Read moreFantastic electronics repair and flexible too. I originally contacted them because I have a "New" Nintendo 3DS that needs to have the headphone jack replaced. The replacement part turned out being far more expensive than we thought and we are putting that off until the cost of the part comes down.
However, my apple laptop's battery was also pillowing. Upon checking with Gizmo Tech, they informed me how much it would cost to replace the battery (it was $95 parts and labor, as opposed to $500 at Connecting Point). I was able to apply the down payment on the attempted 3DS repair to my laptop, and once the new battery came in it took just one day for the repair to be complete and for me to pick up my computer.
I am tickled pink at their customer service, flexibility, and reasonable pricing. I will be going to them for any potential future electronic repairs. I would definitely recommend them for any...
