I originally came in to upgrade my phone. But unless you have active internet you pay full price. Nevermind having paid for 3 phones previously, including paying off the third today. Not only that, I used a new card to pay the phone off, only to have the agent DELETE MY OTHER CARD USED FOR AUTOPAY, I was also told she would switch it back, but the app showed otherwise. Oh that wasn't the worst of it. The card I used today then was charged a 1 dollar fee which then LOCKED THE CARD AND ACCOUNT because it was suspected to be having unauthorized transactions. After spending an hour getting the debit card unlocked, I used the my spectrum app, and I had to enter my info again. And again the my spectrum app also requires me to change the password. I feel like not spending enough money with spectrum warrants this treatment since I get so many email offers of bundle savings. I just wanted a new phone to replace my 2 year old broken hard to charge phone since I am using it all the time. To think I also recommended spectrum mobile for easy payment plans, but I didn't realize internet was required for monthly payments for a new phone. Sorry I don't have $250+ to upgrade. I had purchased an S25+ in their store for my wife, but she found it too large and preferred a smaller model. I went to the store in the other day to exchange it, having read online that the trade-in value was higher than the exchange value. I specifically asked the agent to process it as a trade-in, but they mistakenly issued an exchange instead. When I pointed out the error, they admitted their mistake but said they couldn't do anything to fix it. They told me I would have to wait for the exchange to be cancelled before they could proceed with the trade-in, which could take one or two days. To add insult to injury, they never even apologized for their mistake, misunderstanding, and misleading information. I would not recommend this Spectrum store to anyone. I returned equipment and canceled service due to cost per month being $35 dollars more than T Mobile so that possibly could have been the reason. I've been a customer of Spectrum for multiple years. They weren't mean, just somewhat rude. Customer service for Spectrum was difficult to reach/speak to by phone prior prior to going to the store but once I did they were helpful and told me to get a receipt for the return of the equipment and also get an email or receipt for cancelation of the service. I asked for something showing verification for stopping service and was told that they couldn't do that. That returning the equipment was verification of cancellling the service.
