Maki House — Restaurant in Green

I can’t ever get enough of this place! I usually have a hard time deciding what to get, because everything is sooo good. The teriyaki, noodles, and extra veggies are always a classic “go to,” and the ginger salad is chef’s kiss. the dressing is just so creamy and tasty! Their sushi is always great, whether it’s the classic rolls (which are cool bc you get 8 pieces instead of 6 like most places), or their special rolls. I’m currently obsessed with their seasonal special, the sunset roll. Get it with sriracha if you’re a spicy fan, like myself. But the new poke bowls they have are mouthwatering, as well. I prefer the spring mix base option, but they’ve got white rice or sushi rice to choose from. And the steak, with more veggie toppings and the spicy mayo on top… I might just have to pop in for dinner again tomorrow after leaving this review! It’s just that good. Especially when you grab a boba tea for dessert. The taro tea with tapioca boba and cheese foam, or their house milk tea with boba, or even the uji matcha with cheese foam and a squirt of pineapple syrup for a little extra flavor, are always a good way to end the meal. But lately for a nice summer treat in this heat, their new sparkling bobas have been very refreshing!! The strawberry fizz with original energy popping boba is top notch.

Poor take out experience. The food was okay.

The online takeout ordering process shifts the burden of processing payment and placing the order onto the consumer and then proceeds to charge a "convenience" fee and repeatedly begs for a tip (I always tip for services rendered: waiters, drivers, oil change, etc.). When I arrived, I said I'd ordered takeout, I had my confirmation open on my phone screen. They asked if I was "Doordash," I said no and tried to show my phone. Then, I was asked about several other orders that were not mine. I said no several times. Finally, the clerk looked at my phone and quickly presented my order. Is this what I paid a "convenience" fee for? I asked for soy sauce, and the clerk curtly responded, "It's all in the bag!" I received one packet of soy sauce per entree.

You are better off calling your order in and paying at the counter. Or simply dining in.

The food was both good and disappointing. The chicken, vegetables, and noodles were well cooked and tasty. The shrimp was overcooked and chewy. The portions of tuna were very disappointing.

I won't order online again. I may give the indoor service a chance if the lady at the front is...

Hits the spot EVERY time! Everything I have tried here has always been delicious. Whether it has been one if the various teriyaki options, sushi or the bubble tea - you can’t go wrong! The menu spells all the ingredients out very clearly, the staff is super friendly and hard-working and always happy to answer any questions or offer suggestions - which is super helpful since I have food allergies. I had stopped buying bubble tea locally, since I am always disappointed, but the bubble tea here is phenomenal and I can’t come here without ordering some! The sushi - sooo good, so fresh, and the perfect balance of flavors and textures. The teriyaki is always my comfort food and always a very generous portion as well for the price.
