Nice staff, but if you need a cyst removal that's bigger than 3.1 cm don't bother going here to this greenbelt location. Call around and ask other dermatologists for cyst removal information. Had to contact the hospital I work at in Virginia to schedule to get my cyst removal. I thought since I live 15 mins away from this Dermatologist office it would be a smooth process but it isnt. When you talk to Dr. Taj she is nice but I felt like she wasnt too concern about my pain of my cyst boil.Taj prescribe me cream and gel for a skin condition I have and my appointment wasn't on time. I talked to her every bit of 15 mins and with insurance I was charged 98 dollars 🙄. They don't do ultrasound or radiology there so it's definitely what they can only do and they need to remove cyst removal from their website. I had to go to my job and get my ultrasound and CT scan done before I get my procedure to get cyst removal. My job is an hour away from where I live. It seems like Maryland Medical facilities like to referred you to places that's more expensive and money grab. Remember healthcare is a money making business. I have United healthcare and this place was in service with my insurance. Sometimes it's best to just get your medical procedures done in Virginia. I was thinking since it's a dermatology office they work on skin and website said cyst removal. Honestly I try to give our Black medical leaders/ doctors a chance when it comes to Medical care but I don't get the care that I need and deserve. Do your research and go to a Physician office or practices for cyst removal and that are willing and going to help you feel your...
Read moreAnne Arundel Dermatology is a fine business, but I do NOT recommend going to the Greenbelt location. I made an appointment for my son who was going back to college the following day. Our appointment was at 8:15. We left Virginia at 7:00 in the morning. After struggling through DC area traffic, we made it to the office at 8:20 only to find out it was their old location. The address had never been updated on Google or Maps and we were not notified of the change since we had been there before. Following a sign posted there, we quickly went to their new location (literally running up to the building) and made it to the office by 8:29. One minute before their “15 minute Grace Period Rule” that states all appointments MUST be rescheduled if you are more than 15 minutes late. NO EXCEPTIONS! A member of the office staff said that she would have to check with Dr. Clark to see if she would still see us, even though we were within the 15 minutes. She returned to the desk and said that we needed to reschedule. I asked why and she simply said “she is really strict with the rule.” It had nothing to do with the amount of patients, it was about principle. I couldn’t understand because we were still in the Grace period but she said there was nothing that they could do. It didn’t matter that I had driven such a long distance. It didn’t matter that I had gone to the wrong office (which they had not corrected online). It didn’t matter that my son was not going to be home again for a few months. They really couldn’t care less about you as a patient. You’re...
Read moreMy doc is absolutely wonderful but the office is run terribly. I had an appointment and called an hour before to verify it. No one told me then that the appointment had been canceled OR that the office moved.
I arrived at my appointment to an empty office and stood outside with several other puzzled people who had also arrived for their appointments. No one told us the office moved. We could see delivery boxes outside the door so apparently deliveries were still going to the old address.
I called again while standing outside the door saying I was very confused, I had an appointment but the office was clearly closed.
The call center did a little research and found the current address which wasn't far away. I raced over only to be told that they cancelled my appointment months earlier and somehow forgotten to notify me.
I said, "But I just called an hour ago to verify the appointment!" No matter. The receptionist did not care.
I've been coming to my doc for 23 years and love her so much that it didn't matter where I moved over the past 2 decades, she was worth any commute.
I tried to report this to the office manager and requested that they address whatever issues led to these major customer service breakdowns and requested a reply by mail or email (my work is too busy to field calls during the day without planned time off) and no one has written. I am very disappointed in the way the office has been run since the takeover by Anne Arundel Dermatology. It used to be a...
