The lady at the register made a mistake and charged me a salad instead of yuca. I came in again and paid for the yuca, but then asked her if I was supposed to get a complimentary salad because I never received my yuca and saw another lady also had salad. She got defensive and borderline xenophobic because we are darker Hispanics, I felt so belittled. Told me that I shouldn’t “think”, tried to tell me what my order was, lied about not being able to find my order number, which at first I had said “111” and she cut me off but then I corrected myself and said “11” I will never come back here. I rather drive and go to Sardi’s instead. She was so condescending and said next time my dad and I should agree on what we want to order as if I am stupid and don’t know what I asked for. The chicken was so salty, and when I called to talk to the manager, he told me I had to bring the chicken I had bought and that’s just how they marinate it. I explained to him that I never had that problem before. Then I got another call from an employee saying that the store manager will give me a call , that the manager I previously talked to did not understand what I was saying and did not speak English very well. I made her aware that I just I will not drive back 30 minutes to exchange a salty chicken that I will just throw it away. She made me aware that her manager will reach out to me.
